So if you are like me and are a math oriented person then here is a thread for you! I've been thinking of making my own hoops for a while and was trying to conceive how I'd get the right length of tubing to make the correct diameter. Then it hit me like a lightning bolt!! Circumference formula! DUH!! 2*pi*r= C. Or if your more simplistic pi*D= C (this deviation works because diameter is simply 2*r) So I had taken the Circumference formula and worked the numbers.
So here is what I got:
38" Hoop would need 119.9" (aprox 10') of tubing.
39" Hoop would need 122.5" (aprox 10') of tubing.
40" Hoop would need 126" (aprox 10.5') of tubing.
41" Hoop would need 129" (aprox 10.9') of tubing.
With 100 feet of tubing I can make (aprox):
10 38" hoops
or 9 39"-41" hoops.
What do you think? Input? Check my numbers? Or basic math on hoop construction discussion is all invited!!

Your math seems sound... I'm not a fan of math, primarily due to my dyslexia calculia, but that all seems to work out.

The theory seems fine, I didn't bother checking your numbers. When I made my hoop I used some from a 50m length the organiser had bought, I just pulled it out into a circle, checked the size against me standing up, and cut.
