So, before I read some of the other recent arrivals I thought I should post my intro thread here. After alll, the other post made me do it wink

Name: Nikki. I find Xinixie works best for definite identification since I don't know anyone else who spells 'Zinixie' that way...nor do I know anyone else who even considers that a word.

Location: England UK. Specifically in Harrow, which is west of London.

Hometown: Braintree in Essex (also UK)

Birthday (sign?): 21st November (Scor-sagian cusp)

Age: 22

Sex: Female

Occupation(s): A poor student and starving Journalist

Favorite Food(s): I'm sure I'll make the Marmite people happy by saying so, but it's actually cheese and ham Panini. I'm sure I could be adventurous and ADD marmite to that. yes

Favorite Color(s): Red, because black is not a colour but a shade....and I like Red the best anyway.

What is the wing speed of an unladen swallow? <--- I've left this in because I have no Idea why it's even here and this pleases me.

Toys: Diabolo, Poi (I haven't used a Diabolo in a few years now and I am just starting with Poi. Wish me luck and encourage me!)

Hobbies other than the obvious: I write excessively and I'm an avid movie enthusiast...or media enthusiast in general...and sometimes I've been known to combine the two in my feeble efforts to one day become a film critic and live my little suburban dream.

Education: Currently attending the University of Westminster (Harrow Media & Arts Campus)

Favorite Book(s): Girl Interrupted, Fight Club, Wise Children, Blake’s Songs of Innocence and Experience, Across the Nightingale Floor...and many others.

Favorite Movie(s): The Usual Suspects, True Romance, American Beauty, Interview with the Vampire, LA Crash, Amélie, Dr Strangelove, Face Off, Strictly Ballroom, The Rocky Horror Picture Show, O’ Brother Where Art Thou...and too many more to list.

Godzilla vs. a Star Wars Star Destroyer. Who wins? Why? <---- Neither, the Borg do.

Favorite TV show(s): Dexter, Alley McBeal, Strictly Come Dancing (British Dancing with the stars), Heroes, Lost, Star Trek (Next Gen), CSI, Law & Order (Criminal Intent)

Plans for life in general: (i.e. what you want to do when you grow up) = A film Critic and published author

Favorite Music Artists/Composers: Bach, Chopin, Thomas Newman and Hans Zimmer are my favourite composers...my popular music tastes vary from Blues to Industrial Goth.

Do you think these pants make my butt look too big? <---- No, but a smaller size might do the trick.

Favorie ice cream flavor(s): Rum and raisin, Strawberry, Vanilla.

Oh! ...and by the way, in case anyone missed it... I LOVE MARMITE!

Speaking of Marmite, as it turns out, Marmite in a cheese and ham panini (or toasted sandwich) is quite the taste sensation. laugh3 grouphug

I have a large block of nicely mature cheddar which goes a treat with many things, marmite being one of them.

Marmite is lovely. Nearly as good as rooibos tea....
