Welcome the the 2008 Common Ground Thread!

Not so early bird - $40 till end of September or until sold out
Didn't sort it out at all on the door tickets - $50 (only if available)
The dates for this years Common Ground are
Friday 3th of October to Monday 6th of October
For those living in states who celebrate Labour Day it falls on the 6th this year - which means an extra day to spend in the beautiful Adelaide hills. W00t

good call on the moving of the feet... I dont think I am going to attemtpt to teach across the board skill level poi this year as I did last year. I might re-run my uber workshops cos they went pretty well... and I would class them to be in the intermediate leading to advanced (you'll be advanced after the workshop that is)

yeah toys like poi really benefit from a focus on skill levels - too many skill levels in one lesson often leads to everyone progressing at a skewed pace.
Fire Show Stuffs
On the topic of main fire show's layout, i really appreciate how there was space beside the stage for early performers to sit and watch the remainder of the spectacle easily. Personally I'd prefer to get on a little earlier myself if I contribute to the show so that i get a better chance of shooting decent footage...

Hey lift-offerers!
Just letting you know that I'm driving up now so I no longer need that lift. Thanks anyway though
I'm leaving Thursday and will stay somewhere along the way so I should arrive at the site by lunchtime. Nice and early, unlike last year!

I am sorry to say that due to family and other commitments I am not now coming. Shame cos I love CG and I will miss the time with you all.

I was chatting to a melbournian yesterday who is driving over to cg, and has 2 car spots at the moment to adelaide, and one for the way back. If anyone from melbourne is looking for a lift, let me know so i can get you in contact with the driver.
