so im learning poi and i was wondering if anyone knows any suggestions on the best way to really learn it or if anyone in the area wants to help me learn that would be AWESOME

Hi! Not from the area, BUT you'll have much more luck if you post in the "events" or "meet others" sections, or alternatively do a search for towns near you (search function is above the forum posts on the right-hand side, with main index, faq/help etc. You can choose the "meet others" or "events" sections and search for the towns in the title of threads in those sections).
But while you're here, introduce yourself a bit more! Getting to know people is a good way to find friends to ask for poi advice.
Also the beginners poi section in the forums and the free lessons should get you started!
