Hey guys, the name is Wolfhide...real name is Cory, but all call me Wolfhide. Its because I belong to one of the largest and most successful airsoft teams in Northern IL: Team TEST. I'm based in Chicago, IL, about 30 minutes out of the Loop, for all locals. I've lived in Worth, for anyone who knows what that little town is, for my entire 17 year old male life. Lived in Virginia for month, but that doenst count much. My ex started fire spinning and got me hooked when I saw him spin fire poi. So, I'm going to start spinning poi, not fire necessarily, most likely LED, yet I'm locked on starting spinning fire staff....probably the thing I want to do most right now in regards to recreational activities. I'm a Aquarius, Feb. 18 as a matter of fact, making me an ending cusp. ; ) At the moment I'm head bus boy of the American Legion down the street from my house, but I'm moving my job to the CVS across the street from my house....less walking. (yes I have a car)

Favorites??? xD Ok...favorite foods would be strawberries and Runts....favorite color changes rapidly between nature green and rave blue...hell, I'll take both. The wing speed of an unladen swallow would be 4.3 beats per second on average, and 5.6 beats per second when moving quickly or leaving danger.

Toys? Lol...could be taken in so many ways. I'm an avid airsofter, so I guess my 'toys' could be my airsoft guns. I'm the proud owner of a CA (Classic Army) M15A4 Carbine rifle, a Marushin M500 shotgun, a Jing Gong M16, and a KWA M15A4 supercarbine. Not to mention that I have a complete set of black Tru's, tacvest, and other airsoft goodies. btw, all my 'toys' shoots over 380 fps on .2's. ; ) Other toys could be considered my car. Heh, its a 1995 Chevy Geo Metro. A small soapbox car that gets blown around by the wind...and falls apart with a sneeze. yeah...its a toy alright.

I'm in highschool at the moment and just finishing up Junior year of highschool. I scored a 33 on my ACT's...which is something I'm proud of. Other than that I'm probably going to U of Berkeley in Cali or Tulane U in Louisiana....just fyi.

Godzilla vs. Star Wars Destroyer...who wins? Isnt it obvious...Star Wars Destroyer wins....it just flies a couple thousand feet away from godzilla..and bursts his ass down with its lasers. Sorry...I'm not a godzilla or a SW fan...lol.

As for the rest of my life....I'm aiming to go into Genetic Engineering or possibly Botanical and Marine Biological Engineering Technician fields. Something along those lines. But who says I have to grow up?

Also...marmite would be quite enticing to choose...but since New Zealand stole the entire plan from Britain back in what...1919? Yeah. Either way Marmite is one beefy solution. I'm not a large fan of Vegemite either....since it is bitter as hell and needs to be put on only things that are 'slap you in face' flavorful to be of any good use. I'm going to say Nutellla for the win only because I LOVE hazelnut flavoring and...comeon...its Italian.

So Nutella wink

Hi Wolfhide, welcome.

One question for you: couldn't you use your degree in genetic engineering to create a hybrid spread (MarGeLla)? *g*

Ahahaha...is this nutella, marmite, vegemite thing really that big? Also...no...that would be chemical engineering and possibly even culinary engineering...genetic engineering would be the possibility of turning your future male children into female children xD

I think you and I might be the same person. Except I'm older than you.

Male? Check

Gay? Check

Scored 33 on the ACT? Check

Nutella? Check (I'd smear Nutella on your nipples as a baptism into the High Church of Nutella but you need to be 18 for that...so...*smears it on your nose*)

Biology/science geek? Check.

And I strongly recommend Berkeley. Mind you, I'm a Stanford grad so I'm swallowing my own advice with difficulty, but the Bay Area is the best place to live in the world. And you should totally try it out. Actually, if you're into marine biology, you should check out Stanford, too. From what you say about yourself, you would have a good shot at getting in.

And welcome to HoP! weavesmiley

Hahahaha...ty Nigh Priest of Nutella. I've actually never considered Stanford...never knew Stanford even had a halfway decend science/biological path. I'll have to look into that. I'm liking Berkeley, but also I heard Tulane has a path comparable to Berkeley. I appreciate your advice though...and I added Stanford to colleges to look into. btw, Doc, since you are kinda me, just a little older...what are you spinning atm?

And I'm trying to turn him into a leader in the field of marine biology.

OK, and I'm trying to plug my alma mater and get him to the Bay Area (which is crawling with spinners and Burning Man types).

What's cool about SF is that the gay and freak scenes overlap.

In New York there are gays and freaks...but very few (read: none) who are both.

Awwww Doc. lol, poor guy. In IL, the freak/gay scene overlap...well in the suburbs. Downtown chicago they are two very different scenes. Gays w/ our Guess and other stores...freaks w/ their Hot Topic + Spencors. xd Its very segregated here in IL suburbs.

Now I am a proud freak. And I have only once shopped at Hot Topic...and that was for costuming purposes. In fact, I dress downright preppy. Lots of American Apparel (I hate clothes shopping, and AA is easy and the most socially responsible I can be, even if they have issues).

My freakiness comes through my actions, not my outfit. My rather bland appearance gets me treated with respect by bland society. My rather un-bland actions get me treated with respect by the people I respect.

Ugh hot topic-Love the clothes but the concept and price are totally wrong. The point of goth is to rebel against coporate America and everyone looking the same and so you rebel against conformity by conforming to what coporate America says Goth is. And I refuse to pay 80 dollars or more for a pair of pants unless I'm at the renfair...I do goth my way bounce

Now Brady street here is an interesting street though probably not comprable to what you all have in your big metropolis areas. Arians to yuppies and everything inb/n

So-how often do you make it up here?

Renfair??? I've never heard of it. lol. Yeah...the gay scene isnt that exciting in Chicago unless your up in Boystown (north side)..which is completely run by the gay scene and its nice for people my age until the sun goes down...then its ok...but better for those 21+. heh.

Also I try to keep myself well rounded. I dress from guess, old navy, some department stores and thrift shops. I dont fit in a crowd..heh..i'm pres of mathletes and science club, i'm vice pres of cheer squad, I'm an airsofter, and i'm published in a few books as well as school newspaper and literary magazine. it just helps w/ colleges.

My ex boyfriend, whom is a freak through and through wink, got me into spinning and bought me my first poi: sock poi. He's also ordered me a fire staff, so I blame him.

Now that I've practically told my life story: I like short walks on the beach, long nights on the patio, staring at the stars, and 5'll'' + italians. XD
