I'm new to this whole thing. I found HOP online a few weeks back, and remembered watching someone spin about 5 years ago. He did it so well, it was amazing. ever since I've kinda been hooked on poi. I guess I'm trying to learn to spin myself. Not very good yet, but dreams persist.

I'm 20 years old and married. I am into fast Japanese cars and enjoy alone time. If I were to be categorized, I'd be thrust into Goth, no questions asked. I follow a loose Wiccan religion and am looking forward to the upcoming Heartland Pagan Festival. I find spinning to be an enlightening experience and it is one of the few times I'm fully at peace. I consider myself an intelligent individual, though others may not see me as such. Vanilla bean is my all time fav. with a bit of peppermint thrown in...yum...

If you take along your poi (and a spare set) to festivals there are bound to be some spinners there who will come and play with you. Then you might be able to find out about local gatherings.
Is it the Truth?

Well, hello there. You ALMOST followed instructions. You did severely whittle down the [Old link], but then again, this is expressly permitted, because it says you can "subtract what you want."
But then there's that bit about the Marmite, Vegemite, or Nutella. And you see, that's non-negotiable.
So...*powers up a rather fancy and rakish-looking Nutella coilgun, producing a rather satisfying array of blinking lights and a rising electric whine as the capacitors charge and then aiming it squarely at your forehead*
