Ok, so for those of you who don't know me, I'm Mike and I've been active on this site since 2001. I'm also a pediatrician and I'm currently in training to become an adolescent medicine specialist.
I'm doing a talk on neurodevelopment in teenagers, or how the brain develops during the teenage years. I'm presenting this information to a group of pediatricians, some of them rather stodgy in their views.
I want to present adolescence as a time when creativity develops and when some of the "nuttier" behaviors for which teenagers are famous may manifest. I want to present these behaviors as normative, which is to say that they are normal, healthy, and probably lead teenagers to becoming well-adjusted adults. I also want to get pediatricians to start seeing teenagers in a positive light for the energy and creativity that they have, rather than simply rolling their eyes at a mohawk and immediately assuming that the kid uses drugs and is having unprotected intercourse.
I also can't just use your images without permission. So if you are between the ages of 13 and 20 and you have some pictures of yourself with a crazy hairstyle, or engaging in generalized nuttiness...or if you have a picture of a good drawing or painting you did, can you please let me know, post it to your gallery or something?
I will use no identifying information in the talk and the talk is strictly educational (neither I nor anyone else makes any money from the talk). The images will remain your property. Basically, it's the grown-up version of a school presentation and I need some visual aids.

I have some great photos showing normal day-to-day activities for teenagers, including what happens if you clip a driza-bone to a horse riding helmet (one having male clips the other having female clips), and what happens when you have a bunch of teenagers, black walls and lots of bright coloured paint... I have so many photos of teenage tom-foolery lying around (thanks to venturers) but none of them are of me, and I don't think I should be sending you photos of other people without their knowledge
