Public Transport in South Connecticut

Hey guys,

I'm going out to do job training in Norwalk, CT in July, 50 miles north of New York, and I was wondering what the public transport is like. I want to head down to the big apple for a weekend, but so far have no clue how to do so. Can anyone help me out?

unfortunately you're missing the 'big' festival in the Northeast (wildfire in june) and in the Midatlantic (PDF end of may)

I may still be around though smile
