Hi all,

The Sydney Juggling Convention 2007 is currently being organised. The dates and location are set and there's even a website.

Sydney Juggling Convention 2007

Dates: Fri 26 - Sun 28, Jan 2007

Location: SCEGGS Darlinghurst, Sydney, Australia

Cost: $100 AU for 3 days

Website: https://www.sydneyjuggling.com.au

SJC 2007 has just secured SCEGGS Darlinghurst (a school sports hall) as the venue. It has all the things a juggling convention venue needs:

* High ceilings - a must for the serious numbers
* Eateries galore - just around the corner from the Darlinghurst cafe strip
* Close to transport - just around the corner from train stations and bus stops
* In the Sydney metro area.

So, check out the website, tell all your friends and get excited!

There is a contact email on the website if you have any questions

cya in Sydney...

p.s. there has been a small twirling contingent, including bluecat (rob) and firenix (rob) and steve last year, but would love to have more twirling. The more twirlers that turn up, the more twirling that will go on, including twirling workshops and performances. i hope to see you there.

last year there were 3 or 4 very good contact jugglers, and another 10 or so of varying levels. i cant predict exactly who will turn up, but i know of two of those good ones from last year that should be there (there from the wider sydney area).

i hope to see you there

in regard to workshops, we just have a board with a few different locations and times (hourly), and workshop instructors fill in the times they want to teach with a little description, and then it happens.

and we would love you to teach a workshop or ten :-)

as for transport, you can get a train from the airport to near the location (i will check which is the best station and have someone post it on the website).

and as for accomodation, you cant stay in the hall. PM me and well discuss other options.

Just a guess, but I went to the website, clicked on this thing and read the page wink

It says "Early Bird Special $100.00 Register Now * 3 days of juggling * Free SJC Tshirt"

Yet it also says: "pre-registration will be open soon."

confused

Mark - whats the deal with that? Can people register now or is it just a typo? shrug hug2

keep chipping away at that 5. it does take a long time. some say 50-100 hours of practice in total, to get a comfortable pattern (i always like to aim for 100 catches in these sorts of things)
