So it seems there might be a few spinners heading to asia this winter with spinning on their minds. I just wanted to see who else is heading over, what their plans are while they're over there.

My tickets are booked! I'm arriving in bangkok 16th november, and returning to ireland 3rd February

I've heard from a lot of spinners of a park in bangkok where people meet up every day to play. Thanks to Banshee Cat for the following info:

 Written by:

It is the Pra Atit boat stop, and the park is called Pra Sumen. I would reccommend staying closish by at the guesthouses on Sri Ayyutaya rd-- Tavees Guesthouse, or Sri Ayyutaya's, or Shantis, all very close together down that road. Nice community... May Kai Dees is a great restaurant for veggie food along near that strip-two locations, one on samsen, and one off the end of Kho San rd and across the st.... Probably more specific address in the guide books...

Nick (poi celebrity number 1 wink) is planning on a poi camp in Pai, northern Thailand, where spinipulation enthusiasts can meet up and play, practice, etc (see his post below). I definately plan on spending some time up there with him during my adventure. Probably stop number one after bangkok... ubbrollsmile

Leave your winter behind, come find some winter summer!

COME SEE HOW FAR THE RABBIT HOLE GOES!

hey claus, a bunch of us are staying in the area behind the National Library, at Tavees guesthouse, Sri Ayyutaya guesthouse etc... There are many here. Prices range from around 100-150 baht for a dorm room, 250 ish for a single, 280 for a double-- lots of variety. The address is 83 Sri Ayuttaya Rd, on the corner of soi 12( samsen) . The area is called Thewet Market. It is also accessible by boat, the Thewet stop. Other places near Khao San, and near the park, are a bit cheaper, but often noisy...

The park is Pra Sumen park, a fifteen minute walk from here. It is at the Pra Atit boat stop. We seem to gather at around 5pm/ Tomorrow we are thinking of doing some fire spins across the bridge, and going to the Indian neighborhood for an indian feast... But who knows what will actually happen!

See ya soon!
Tomorrows gathering will be very full, lots of us spinny sorts around!

I too share the kind words spoken by Ronopotamus to all of you. Thanks for all the memorable...'fantastic'... and 'amazing' experiences.

Los Angeles is not as cold as Ireland, so I'm still able continue to spin under the Sun...although the weather is to take a turn for the worse in a few days.

Cheers,
Thomas

Ooh, slightly sad but exciting to see people going back to their "other" lives. I'd glad so many of you had such a good time.

Andrea: Very exciting!!! When are you coming back to the Island? I'm here util the 16th. Sean and Prisna and an amazing spinner named Keith (the famous poi-arialist) are all coming here in a few days. Will you be back by then? If so we'll come back to Had Tien smile

Repeat: There will be some great spinners here on Koh PHangan until the 16th at least, at which point myself and a few others are heading back to Pai.

Much love to everybody.

Just so people know, all the super talented sexy hot spectaular break boys in the Pra Atit Park, Bangkok, are doing Uber Breakdance Battle! On February 16th, starteing late afternoon early evening ish.

They have been working hard at a new chroeograghed bit, to some really wild unexpected music. They are amazingly talented, and sooo much fun, it will be a wild night. Worth making you way to Bangkok for. We are thinking of all going out for a big party after, drinking and dancing...

Dont miss this!
