Posted: Hiya, my names aisling, I'm 24. I live in Belfast working as a librarian. Just finished my MA in Archaeology in july. Started learning poi a couple of months ago. Saw some people doing it in Sri Lanka and was pretty impressed. Iv about a million bruises from trying to teach myself but even so its pretty addictive. Just thought I'd check this site out and see what I can learn

We have a great, friendly, albeit small spinning community happening in Belfast.
Lisa and I (www.firepoise.com) hold poi workshops in the Crescent Arts Centre on Tuesday nights (from 8.30pm-10pm) - you'd be very welcome. Contact the Crescent for details and registration. Ph: 02890 242338
We also hold fire gatherings in Crescent Park fortnightly on Tuesday nights (after the workshops). The next one is next Tuesday (I won't be there - Bristol Juggling Convention is on) and you can meet Lisa, Dale and our other spinners.
PM me your email address, and I'll add it to the list.
Take care, and hope to see you soon Clare

There is a very fine line between "hobby" and "mental illness."
