My state of mind is not yours to define!

There is a very fine line between "hobby" and "mental illness."

Thank you Pogo!

I thought I'd make an addition to my intro. I see now that I didn't write anything at all about my spinning!! Can only blame the jet lag after surfing on a site in such a distant country. wink

Oh well. I have been spinning for nearly two months now... reeeeally long, right? wink So far i have one pair of black, pink, purple home made poi, one pair of kiwido's with purple, red and yellow long tails, one pair of blue LED sticks and one pair of monkey fists. And I love them all! Right now I'm working on the overhead three beat weave, flowers, adding pirouettes and just working up my skills enough to feel ready for trying "the real deal" with those monkey fists... I got them today. smile

mmm, I'm a bit of a newbie with poi, too.. started with staff about, ummm... 4 months ago, I guess... and wouldn't touch poi... but started poi about... ummmm... 4-5 weeks ago, I think? and don't touch the staff anymore... poi rocks! I ubblove it... biggrin

flowers... le ... I really have to practise flowers, they look so pretty... but I've convinced myself I'm too uncoordinated for now tongue

Then there's two of us! beerchug I'm struggling with the flowers... BIGtime! I know I have to learn how to do them before I make them my own style.... but so far all I've seen of flowers is soooo far off what the rest of my spinning looks like that I just can't find a way around it. weavesmiley

ye, like everything else... practise, practise, practise... flowers for me are similar to my struggles with isolations... one hand @ a time, no problem... put them together and it all goes to hell devil rolleyes

Mhm... But I rarely find practising so much fun as with poi though. biggrin

Isolations will probably be my next project... I haven't even tried them yet. Same thing there... doesn't really fit into what I do right now... But who ever know's what the future holds? Maybe it's just bells and green, fluffy stuff all the way to retirement? Then who would care about isolations? wink
