Hello
I started poi last summer. There a good helps in the internet how you can start it. -movies, descriptions,...
the best is when you start with poi and no firechains, like i did
that really hurts!! You can buy poi but you also can make them by yourself -use some socks- look for people who live around you and do poi. so you can practice with them

Hallo!
to HoP! you've certainly come to the right place! First of all, have you got a pair of poi? silly Q i know, but check out the begginners sec in the shop. if you have got a pair then have a look at the free lessons here, sgot all the basics.Ive got Michal Kahns booky 'Poi Spinning' which has everything from begginner to advanced moves and most recently got Nicks DVD 'The scales of Poi' which is damn good but before you get that its best to settle into it first for a few months.
Even though ive been spinning for just over a year now, im yet to light up, so my advise is not to rush, take your time, and be patient! so there. HAPPY SPINNING!

hi
i know someone who does poi, but he lives a couple of hundred miles away from me! He does it with fire! I dont think there is anybody near me that does poi, how can i look for them??? ummmm...........anybody have any suggestions as to what i can put here?!

to HoP! You will find many many nutters here, and if you dont mind a little wander, in the Events forum, there are many meets going on, the biggest of which coming up is Falmouth which isnt in Falmouth, and BJC, etc etc. Come alaong, get a tent, and have mucho spinny goodness.Top 3 HoP Survival tips.
1) Never listen to anything Cantus says, as he is certifiably insane, however it is allowed to laugh like f**k at his posts.
