Hey all,
Next weekend my Venturer unit are helping out on a leadership course for the scouts. Being the big kids, we've decided we want to play a few practical jokes on them... but we're fresh out of ideas... this is where you guys might come in.
Does anyone know of any good practical jokes which we can do without much mess (some is ok, but we dont want to have to replace carpet), and will cause no injury or anything like that?
If so, it would be greatly appreciated.
Note: we have a few older scouts helping us out, the cooks may be on our side (but they do need to eat), and they are staying overnight, will add more details as I think of them

What kind of setting are you in? A campsite? (which I doubt cos you've put carpet).... s'all important for setting up pranks...
I'll rack my brains, I'm usually pretty good... buttt my house mate is better, he stole my door handle to my room when I was at Uni, filmed the whole thing... wasnt very funny

the place where we will be is on the outskirts, so yeah, bush. The scouts are staying in cabins (about 6 or 9 to a cabin) and we're doing the course in a normal building. Koolamurt (where we'll be) has full facilities- toilets, showers, kitchen, etc

These guys are only young still, and we can't make too much mess, so unfortunatly they can't wet the bed (not to mention that Ian will kill us (caretaker))
At the moment we're thinking duct tape their gear to the inside roof or their beds (one of the guys wants to use stronger stuff); little bit of food dye in the milk, freezing a little milk and putting it in the milk so it looks curdled, and not sure what else at this point. can you get on the roof of a cabin or the main building?
if so you could get them stood and/or sat together for a picture infront of one of the buildings quite near to the wall, and, the timings down to you, throw a couple of buckets of water over them from the roof

Havokist: they'll be in their uniform for most of the weekend (except for sleeping) so I doubt most of them will have a change of clothes. And with it being winter, it isnt worth it at all.
UCOF: we will be playing a night wide game, but they will make it up on the weekend.. what are you thinking?

Swap all their bags around while they are out on some activity.
put toothpaste behind the door handles (it's not that messy:))
play a big hide and go seek game - make them hide and "forget" to find them.
Film everything. It makes it far funnier, and easier to blackmail people...

I had a game of hide and seek on an art foundation induction trip. Thing is both the hiders and the seekers had the same idea of making it a practical joke, so everyone just went straight to the pub The staff never saw it coming, but they did find us very quickly

(we had it in our heads that he was some scary perv who liked watching children sleep!) and we'd put a bucket of water above the door, we had trip wire, and just to be safe we even had water pistols. However we only did this once, because we found out that Father Christmas was actually our dad going into the loft to get our presents!
