i just wish i had some helpful hints for you! 
i made one...but i'm on a work computer so i can't fix it properly (all i can do it put it in paint & then i can't crop that pic! ugh!) so i'll have a play with it more on the weekend!!

To get these photos working, you need either an online picture album that allows hot linking (such as photobucket) or your own webspace from which you can link the picture to.
Finish making you character, then press "PrtScn" which can be found on the right of the keyboard at the top.
Go Start -> Accessories -> Paint
When paint is loaded, press "Ctrl+v".
Using the dotted line box (top of the action buttons on the right) select only the part of the screen that you want (the picture!).
When the character is outlined with the box, press "Ctrl+x" then "Ctrl+n", then "cancel" and then finally press "Ctrl+v" again.
Save picture.
Put picture online.
Link to picture.
Drink tea.

check [Old link] out first. see the tags? use them with the word image. i.e.
[ i m a g e ] url of pic [ / i m a g e ] without the spaces of course.
still not clear? click quote on someone's post with an image, then you can see how they did it.
