Posted: Okay, so I posted in the new moves thread that I learned 2nd degree butterfly waistwraps. I realise that this terminology is confusing and this is probably just adding to that, but I'm really at a loss for what to call it. The reasoning behind second degree is it is a level of difficulty above the regular bfly ww, but it could get confusing with inversions.
Essentially, what I'm doing is going from a bfly ww (reverse butterfly), and bringing the butterfly around so that it faces the rear wall plane, and does a forward butterfly, before coming back into the waistwrap. The second video where you can see what my hands are doing shows two different ways of getting into the forward butterfly part.

Posted: i wouldn't call it 2nd degree - this terminology usually refers to the level to which the wrists are twisted on a crossover.
that is: 3bt wrist arrangement, 1st degree; 5bt wrist twist, 2nd degree; and so on...
this is definitely a bf ww variation but i don't think it fits into any neat category that will give it a simple name.
there's a similar variation that consists of a bf ww with 3bts of bf weave on each side - even more of a simple combination but still doesn't really warrant a simple, concise name - there's so many versions of bf ww's its impossible to name them all.
of course, i already have an issue with this area of move namage ([Old link]) so make of that what you will
nice move though

Posted: Yeah, I usually just say this is a 3 beat ww. You can add another beat in the front as well to make it 4.
Let's turn those old bridges we crossed into ashes. We'll blaze a new trail, and torch the rough patches.
