Gidg- actually i am having trouble doing that so in the Kingdom of the Outlands there is the Barony of Unser Hafen. If you check out their lady-in-waiting page there is a pic of me(that is if you want to see it)

Darn! I knew that I gave too much information. Not much of a hunt at all.
You're the Minister of Children? If I was going to hold an office that would be one that I would want. I love kids.
I found your pic in Unser Hafen, please tell me that all those braids are not yours. I'm so jealous. I can't tell much about your garb, what type and time period do you go for? You look gypsy'ish.
Now if you're MOC in Caerthe and a lady in waiting in Unser Hafen, what Barony do you consider home?

No those dreads are not mine. I wish they were sometimes cause it makes doing hair so much easier. I bought them on line. They are lots of fun and make SCA camping events bearable when there are no showers. I just pull my hair back into pigtails put the clips on and hide my natural hair with a bandana (cause it is different color than the fake hair). The garb i am wearing is Indian. It is a choli, lengha, and veil, with a tassel belt (you can't see it). I would have put up a better version of that pic in my gallery, but it said that i couldn't cause i don't have any points (i don't know how to get points)
The barony i consider home and that i live in is Caerthe, but my really good friend is the Baroness of Unser Hafen so hence the whole lady in waiting thing.
Do you hold any titles? Are you an officer? Laurel? Pelican? Or do you just play to play and have fun?
I am going to try to get a laurel for jewelry and costuming, but that is a long way off.

I just play to have fun. The reason that I got into the hole thing is because I wanted a group to do archery with and I like dressing up in the long gowns. In fact I only go to the local events and haven't even been to a camping event.
I've been told that I should submit my weaving into one of the compitations to see what happens. The thing is that the stuff I weave is not an example of the time period that the SCA represents.
So what lead you to go with the Indian garb?
How to get points here at HoP? Well that is all about time or money. You get points with your activity on the boards or you can earn them by buying something from HoP.

Thanks for the info on points.
If you are nervous about submitting one of your weavings into an A&S, then i would suggest do some research into the types of weavings they did in the SCA time period and try to copy one of those. Alot of the jewelry that i do is not period and i use modern equipment to make it, but i try to find something similar that they had back then. for example one time i made a rosary. everyone liked it. but i didn't win (oh well). they had rosaries back then and now. Its just a thought.
Indian garb is so cool, and comfortable, and it can be modest. It was the Indian movies that brought me in especially "devdas" the clothing is so beautiful. You should see that movie (it is subtitled though) but it is beautiful. It is like a shakespearian tragedy...it does not have a happy ending. but you should see it!!!

it was soooo awesome.... i got 10 yards of uphosltry fabric for 98 cents a yard and some other upholstry frabric for $1.98/yard. i was sooooo excited and needed to share that with someone!!!
i am making Xena Armour so that i can fight in the SCA. i am soooooooo excited and can't wait till it is finished so i can put pictures on my website!!!!!
