UK docu 13/3/6 (tonight)-extreme body mods

'ArtShock- Is Bad Art for Bad People?'

Channel 4 11 pm Monday

I can't vouch for it's quality, but, from advertised exerpts it should be of interest to anyone into piercings and other body mods- looks like it may cover extreme stuff (head spikes etc) and the philosophy and motivations behind it.

Apologies for that- obviously not much on body mods frown

Apparently it's a 4 episode thing- on tomorrow, wed and thurs.

Tomorrows episode is on artists whose work involves self-mutilation and is called 'the Human Canvas',so I guess that's the most likely contender for the body-mod stuff shown in the trailer.

I thought it was excellant. It focused mostly on the destruction in art genre, un-surprisingly as that causes the most controvery.
I've done a project on destruction in art in the first term of college and watched a documentary about it. Very interesting stuff. You can't help but either be revolted by it, or be fascinated by it.

I'm looking forward to the other 3 episodes.

I watched last night's programme which had people suspending themselve from hooks pierced through their backs.
I thought it was a great programme, although I was hiding behind a cushion for most of it feeling a bit queasy!!
