Hello, welcome to HOP!

wave weavesmiley

My state of mind is not yours to define!

There is a very fine line between "hobby" and "mental illness."

Alright my life in point formish/answers plus other stuff.

My full name is Kiley Marie Domenko and I live in Vancouver BC, Canada (is anyone else from here, I feel kinda lonely). I was born in Edmonton Alberta on June 12, 1980 and have lived in a bunch of places. Calgary, Sicamouse, Courtney, Williams Lake, Cantebrury England and now I'm here. I study Russian history - it fascinates me, but seems to bore most the people I know. Otherwise, my day job is in an office of a company that build English style Conservatories. It's pretty slack and I just hang out in the office all day on net all alone 'cause the guys are out on job sites. I love pasta a steak. My boyfriend is a professional cook and doesn't really like pasta too much but feeds it to me anyway. Yay! I'm very pink - lots of pink in my wardrobe, lots of brown and blue. I am the queen of cardigans (I get sort of hot flash type things so they're awesome to open and close easily). NO SOCKS. I really love having bare feet. My feet feel so contricted in socks and shoes. I'm usually in flip flops until it starts getting cold and rainy. Although when I do where socks they are super funky. I collect them. I am a part time fashion stylist so everyone thinks I should dress all glamy but I really don't. Jeans, flips, cami's and cardigans! I have four sets of poi. The first set was made by my friend Diane. They are hacky sacks on the end of necklace type things that people usually put their keys or a whistle on. I love them. Then I got a pair that are kinda crappy. Very poorly made so I rarely use them. Finally I have two sets of pretty poi on the end of good heavy chain. They are sort of flashy with a decent length tail for beginning. One set is blue the other is purple. They have a great weight to them, I love feeling the flow of them around me. In my spare time from school/work/poi, I am cross-stitching/reading/hanging out with my silly cat Lucy. Late nights at a favorite place called Kino Cafe where there are lots of cool people and there are flamenco dancers almost everynight. I am finishing my BA in History at Simon Fraser University, then I am off to do undergrad and Masters at UBC. I'm not sure I have a favorite book - my reading is so diverse I couldn't choose. I generally read a fiction then a non-fiction and back and forth. I just finished reading the Narnia Chronicles (haven't read them since I was 10). My favorite movie is Magnolia. Watch it, you'll see. Also Brotherhood of the Wolf is awesome - but be sure to watch it in French with English subtitles (otherwise the feeling is different). TV: Family Guy/CSI/House/stuff on the speed network. When I finally grow up I hope to do some real research into Russia. I do bits and pieces right now, but not enough to make me feel it's worth publishing. Sigur Ros is a wicked band. I met them when they were here about 2 years ago. Super friendly bunch, drank champagne all night. Plus many others, but they are the top of my list. Ice Cream: Dolce de Leche by Mario's Gelati. NUTELLA!
So I hope this gives you something to respond to. I am happy to be on HOP and hope to chat with lots of you very soon.
