I was at Reading Festival last year and loved it loads. Things to know about the fire spinning there is:-
1.) Not allowed in the camping site...although many people bring their glow equipment and practise stuff.
2.) People do bring their fire spinning equipment and spin putside the site next to the river...which is a lovely place to spin.

Do come to reading as it was awesome this year, and next year is going to be better. On the saturday night we must of had about 30 fire spinners outside which was great

Hey i last went to reading 2004, me and tobi did some fire spinning by the entrance to the arena and we promptly got moved on, but not before we had a song about us being made up by the bystanders which was cool, there is a spot outside of the grounds by a river where you can spin which isnt far to walk, glow equipment is allowed of course, im gonna spend most of my time contact juggling i think,

so yes im going

tobi i thought you said you'd not go again, oh please go! im gonna need back up in case someone else arrives!

we can have a HoP campsite

Big gig crowds and loud loud music and drunk drunk people arnt my favouristic things.

PLAY and Falmouth are on my top list of festivals to go to this year.

Im waiting for the sales to come out so i can get my tickets.
I realised last year that loads of people don't actually go for the music, but infact go for the atmosphere which is amazing grouphug

I vote for a reading HOP meet up. Another thing about leeds is someone took the piss out of me for spinning last year!! bloody cheek. Also they have no respect for fire or anything else. the riots at reading on thelast night are childs play compared too leeds.

Humm I have to say reading is not that great frown
And I should know iv been going since I was 15 and in all that time have only missed two so if I go this year it will be my 11th biggrin reading festival (I refuse to go to Leeds its crap wink)

Last year the line up was rubbish the only band I most of the set to was Iron Maiden and that was only for the nostalgic value rolleyes
I spent all my time in the comedy tent ubblol.
In the past they have had some fantastic line-ups

So be careful who you go with as if you go with people you don’t like or don’t know to well you will have a pants time its all about the company you take reading is not the friendly place Glastonbury Play or Falmouth are. ubbrollsmile

Over the years I have seen this festival change quite a bit at one point back in about 98 to 2000 was about its high point much more friendly every where you looked tones of stuff to do skate ramp bungee jump trampolines all sorts of stuff also spread through the sight where hundreds of fresh lemonade stands and watermelon trolleys. Now all you get is warm bottled of coke for £2 and disposable camera stands. frown

The quality of the stalls has even gone downhill in recent years its all totally over commercialized frown.

As regards to spinning I only started spinning just over 2 years ago so have only spun at reading twice
First time was with our very own lovely Mr PyroWill ubblove that was quite a good year.

you are not actually aloud fire gear into the sight frown so disguise your Staff and have poi kept well packed away. Don’t bring paraffin it is readily available from the garage 2min up the road. (I use an extra long sock to cover my staff makes it look like a practice staff. biggrin

You are quite ok to spin fire round the camp sight you don’t get to much hassle of security. The only thing I would recommend is having a huge tent circle as to keep safe. smile

(Which in itself is difficult at reading you have to stand guard over your space or people will put tents right on top of your fire pit no joke we woke up one year to find 3 tents in the middle of our circle)

secondly you can spin fire just outside the arena (shopping/lounging aria) just watch out for security just make it look like you are safe wet towel and stuff and don’t argue with them if they say stop and piss-off it then put your stuff away and piss-off.

I would suggest trying to camp together as just randomly meet up to spin is crap you cant get to know anyone properly the only person I remember from spinning at reading is will and grace who both ended up camping with my tent circle.

If we are going to have a hop camp sight we have to get organised first of get early Wednesday entry tickets to get a good camp sight you need it.
Second turn up early very early so we can all meet up and get organised.

Pahhhh I'm going to shut up now cos I'm fed up of typing I will say more if people ask questions.
