Swindon's First HoP Meet
Location: Lower Shaw Farm, Swindon, Wiltshire.
Lower Shaw Farm
Date: 3/4/5 February
Price: Fri - Mon: £25, or £10 per night
Price includes: Fri and Sat evening meal (vegan but damn good, that's coming from a meat-eater!); Breakfast (on a help yourself and help each other basis); approx. 35 beds available, plus warm indoor crash space, maximum capacity of 50 people. Everyone must bring sleeping bags. EVERYTHING on first come first served basis!
Various activities available in surrounding area chosen by you. A few ideas: Possible trip to nearby (20min car journey) stone circle
or to local park for mass fire fun (not enough space for everyone to spin at once on the farm)
There is some indoor spin-space incase of evil evil rain.
There will be campfires, possible fire-sculptures if people are interested and are willing to chip in a couple of quid for the paper edge roll (more details can be got if interest is expressed).
Anyway, that's enough for now.

I work Friday and Saturday day and then monday again but saturday night till Sunday sounds cool so put me down for that. I havent practised much over winter so this is prob a good way to get back into it...

Im a marlborough Person. A few people here do poi and staff, but the person i was referring to is called Mark (he has a mohawk, might help identify him!). Yeah some ppl from here have been to the thing on tuesdays but i havent yet bcuz getting home and stuff is an issue...

Petra - I know Mark! I saw him yesterday (I think) in Swindon, and he said something about it being hard to get over here for the club, or something.
Have you thought about setting up a meet in Marlborough, if there's a few of you? There has to be some sort of hall or something that you could all chip in and hire out for an evening.

Yeah im the summer we used to meet up behind this barn and practise but after the cold weather kept in that kinda died but hopefully we'll start up again and try and get more people involved as it was a very nice cheap way to spend an evening, for us who did fire stuff and also for people we knew who jst fancied coming along to chill out. Mark still hacks the cold and goes out and does it but i havent much. Think i will start to now as he only lives down the road. Once i get my new poi i think ill have the motivation i need to hack the cold and do it!
