Now, guys, I'm gonna be there a month. You should come up (or down, or east, or west) and play with me. You can pick up to five dates you like, and then help me decide on a time and stuff
C'mon... its 2 hrs from Edinburgh, London, and Manchester, and like 1/2hr from Leeds... you people should totally travel.....Dates are for november, times I expect to be reasonably free to plan things.

It's more than 1/2 an hour from Leeds, try 1.5 hours.
Erm, I might go, depending on how many people decide to go from Hull...and there's one HoPper at York Uni that I remember.

Surely, If I can take a half hour train from york to harrogate, and a half hour train from leeds to harrogate, then leeds -> york should be a lot faster on the train? Either that or your trainline website has been playing horrible games with my mind.....
Not-Saturdays also sound good to me on the whole, perhaps we should aim for one of them Sunday things then?

It only took me two hours to get to york from london..... 4:20 got me all the way into edinburgh.....
I guess there is an assumption that the rails' running on time, which might be a bit much to assume, and granted, that assumes walking distance of some sort of useful station like kings cross, which is a load of [censored], but the actual rail from london dropped me in york inside of two hours

You're right, it does only take 2 hours (networkrail.com). Hmm, it took me three hours to get from my home to Cardiff, which I would think be less of a distance than York to Londo.

I'm only worried that a bunch of people seem to be heading cornwall-ish at the time, so I'm going to say "tenatively the 18th" but poke a couple more times at some southern-ish types and see whats going on. I'll change the info in the top post when I'm positive....
Plus I should poke sethis breifly first and make sure its ok with him

well having been to a meet in Hull and Funds allowing i'll be on my way over to York, wheres abouts is it? i think i'm slightly blind and can't see anything in the thread lol, also directions would be nice

We're not sure about location yet. Directions will go up in early november, once i actually get there, because i can find my way absolutly nowhere in york. I *might* if turned loose at a pub make my way back to my friend's old house. thats about it. I'm poking people there about a good "where" but I'm afraid we're still poking about when
