Hi All U Groovy Spinners out there in e-land,
Announcing a series of mini-one-day juggling and spinning conventions throughout the Autumn in Nottingham.
The first one (9th Oct) is going to be a poi and staff spinning special.
With Te-Pooka and special guests from London running a series of master class workshops from begginers to Uber-Spinning Super Advanced.
NAME: TRIBE OF FUN-DANGO (emphasis on having fun).
DATES: 9 Oct, 13 Nov, 11 Dec (all sundays)
TIMES: 11am-11pm
PLACE: Nottingham University Students Union
SPACE: The Beautiful Big Ballroom and 2 workshop rooms - E and W concourse lounge (same place as the one dayer last March).
COST: donations up to £5 - pay what you can afford - be honest (this is to pay for w/shop leaders travel costs)
WORKSHOPS: begginers to advanced and very advanced. Workshop leader volunteers welcome.
AIM: to capture the essence of Bristol Juggling Convention in one long day.
PLAN: Workshops during the day, games and vidoes and music in the evening. Possibly an impromptu show. and many silliness
REQUEST: Please pass details around to any other juggling groups you know who might be interested.
They are called mini-one-dayers because we are only organising:
1) at least 6 workshops based on a theme each time. Other w/shops organised on day.Predict there will at least be 20 in all.
2) video projections and/or music in the evening.
3) some group activities and/or games.
The rest will be organised on the day. So its a bit more relaxed than normal.

well the thing is for 2 days
a chill out massive meet on the saturday the 8th and then the convention on the 9th and i still have lots of space going for people to sleep

oh and if anybody needs a place to stay friday if they wanna come earlier i'm off college on fridays so can meet people and stuff and give them a place to crash

I might be coming on thursday night..... I'm not sure yet. Train tickets cost less if you don't travel on a friday

I'd be leaving work at 3 pm then going home then going to catch a train so I doubt I'd be there in time for the thursday evening meet. I might be quite late..... I haven't really worked all this out yet. I still have the welsh invasion meet and the BJC, 2 nephews birthdays and month to go....... I don't plan that well, that far in advance.

well hopefully i will be coming now depending on how good miss caterplier is at organising me, altho i would quite like to come on thursday for the normall meet i think school might get in the way but if it is at half term then i may see if i can stay for a while (is that ok lauz?).

If there's stuff going on Fri/Fri Night /Sat day I might come down for that, go back to Manc for Goldfrapp Sat night, then back to Nottm for the convention on Sunday.
If that looks good, can I have a crash space on Friday night pweese?

Hey Skully, staying Thursday shouldn't be a problem so long as you don't mind me getting up at 6 to go to work.
There isn't currently anything planned for Friday but I thing Lauz doesn't have college on that day so perhaps.......I don't know yet - Lauz I'll talk to you on Thursday.
has anyone offered Headswim or Linden Rathen space to crash yet?

there more than welcome at mine
although i think some camping in the garden will definately be in order at the rate of people coming.i'm sure we could do stuff friday too i have the day off college on fridays so its always possible if people are up for it

it looks like i won't be able to come cos my half term is 2 weeks later
i will try my hardest to see if i can still go and maybe get 1 or 2 days off school but i doubt that will be possible

hey limmy on the saturday its just a massive poi meet just chilling out spinning having fun. and the sunday is an actual convention that costs five pounds but will be muchly worth it.

nottingham bulwell but can arrange for taxi's back to mine unless theres cars that people are driving hehe but i'll pay taxi costs
