Hey all well i decided my intro thread kinda sucked so though i'd redo it!and instead of all the rubbish i wrote in the last one i figured i could also use this as a wee diary aswell!

Anyay, its wednesday,3 days after fal4 and i'm still recovering!Had such an amazing weekend, and met soooooo many lovely people(you all know who you are),and at the mo i'm sat at me bros pooter, bored, waiting for brad and mags to pick me up to take me to tonights eden gig(they're late as usual-no suprises there!).

Started talking to my boss today(i work at a design warehouse) about the possibility of tarting up my morris minor with sum lettering and stuff,as i wann start up a sort of mini entertainment consultancy.....

Basically...this is the idea

I figured with minimal cost i could get sum advertising done(business cards, yellow pages etc.)to promote me and the guys that i perform with,in the hope that we'd get more regular gigs, and then i thought about setting up a website for said company...

However...then i thought people from all over the world are gonna see this and we're all down in cornwall....so here's where the idea comes in.... I thought that maybe we could compile a list of different hoppers no.s,from all around the country...abroad even...so that if someone called me up from say lancashire i could simply search thru the list and see whos closest!?

That way any gigs that us guys down here couldn't get to,wouldn't be completely lost and then everyone gets to make loads of money...WOOPEE!!!

Well its just an idea anyway but i'd appreciate sum feedback!

Love to all for today!!

it s amazing how many of these keep turning up!(lowry paintings....not giant squid!)

saw a report a few months ago where some old granny threw one out in the trash and while a homeless girl (who just so happened to be an ex art student-convenient huh!?), was pilfering through her rubbish "stumbled across it".....sold for around about the same amount if i remember correctly.

although in all fairness, apparently the girl did actually share the money with said granny....
.....all seems a bit far fetched if you ask me!

See my problem would be that i destest his stuff just enough to leave it in the dustbin where i found it.

Much like if I happened to gain some Clarice Cliff pottery, the urge to push it off the table would be overwhelming...

have to disagree with you on that one i'm afraid,

although i would not ever choose to own either artists work, i am a big believer in not destroying things like art, books etc.
(even if i don't like them)

cos the way i look at it is that whatever that persons style of artistic expression,if they're popular there's obviously a lot of people out there that like it....so...

....i couldn't bear the thought of destroying/discarding something that i knew would mean the world to someone else to own...(within reason obviously)

does that make sense or am i just rambling???/

Right well I'll just give them to you then.

Sorted.

And the reason that I despise Clarice Cliff is that we had a lecturer at college a few years ago called Bryn Youds, who was something of an expert on the poor addled old woman and he, being our art history teacher, would bang on about her week in week out, without any hope of a reprieve.

I did a search for him earlier and was disapointed to see that he's still a leading light and highly regarded as an expert in the field. Although not as disapointed as i was to have a fruitless search for his obituary....
wink
