Hello there everyone on HoP...I am Phae'xorl, and I was just introduced to this great site by a friend of mine who told me about it (he used to come here a good bit I believe...sorry don't know his former screen name). I have been spinning for a month or so, almost think I am ready for fire, but in no huge rush.
Anyway, I just wanted to say hi to everyone.

*Puts hand up*

I paint Elves, Orcs, Humans, Undead, Chaos, Tau, Harlequins, Dark Eldar, Dark Elves, Lizardman, Demons, and some other stuff I can't be bothered to list. Fairies sound quite tame by comparison! wink

FYI a Warhammer 40k collector is someone who collects Warhammer 40,000. A branch of the Games Workshop hobby (well, more like half of it really) see www.games-workshop.co.uk for details.

I wouldn't mind LARPing if there were any actual fight scenes that were choreographed and anything. Rather than holding bits of paper.

I have 86 Star Wars novels, and I think that the "Heir to the Empire" trilogy and the "Hand of Thrawn Trilogy" to be the best. The NJO stuff is good, but can be quite depressing.

Thanks for the recommendations, Waterstones here I come... ubblol

After much consideration, I find that the view is worth the asphyxiation.

I may disagree with what you have to say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it.

Waterstones? did I mention Waterstones? confused

And I thought that LARPers beat each other with foam weapons. Was I misled or something?

yeay, I'm not a geek!

waterstones is a bookshop smile

I love the way that some of the larpers that hang out in our local comic shop use fire poi/staff to create magic spells which normally involve them spinning randomly about in a very mess dangerous way! I'm sure fire and foam swords don't mix very well!

Hey thanks, I had no effing clue what the whole Watersones thing was about...Is is a UK exclusive bookstore or something? To my knowledge we don't have them here....

Yikes! I am also relatively certain that Fire and Foam don't mix too well either... In fact I believe that the foam weapons are coated in a shellac of some sort and those types of things are generally highly flamable eek !

Don't know if waterstones is just UK but its one of the biggest chains of bookshops here and they are ridicuously overpriced so i never go in there!

I had some larpers trying to convince me to join them today so i can do 'magic spells' and dress as an elf. I couldn't run away fast enough! ubblol

Not that anyone cares, but after a bit of a hietus from computers I am back.... Yay.

I recently lost my fire virginity, and it was one of the best expieriences of my life... the sound....ooooh.......

I will try to post some footage of it here sometime... It was on a private beach late at night on a clear calm evening.... It doesn't get too much better than that......
