Hey everyone,
so anyway i am new to poi, i was walking along the beach one night near my place and happened to see a couple of people with staffs and thought it was cool. later that week i was up at a market and there was a set of poi for sale. so i just had to have some. since then all i have really got is a lot of bruises but had a lot of fun playing. So when i stumbled upon this site i thought YAY, no longer will i have to stalk the beaches once more hoping to catch sight of those mysterious figures with there pretty flames, and did a happy dance. And now i am here hoping to catch sight of mysterious strangers, (prefer tall dark and dangerous) with pretty fire.
So i still have a lot to learn but enough of my rambling and a little about me.

age: 24
sex: Male
location: the beach (not far out from geelong)
how long now: a couple of months with the poi although still to light up waiting till i get a bit better first
occupation: i work with little kids
hobbies: i have way to much time on my hands to list them all but books and more books, and building sand castles i like sand castles. art, photography, poi and contact juggling (also a newly aquired)
regrets: none its not worth it
hopes and dreams: to make it to the sunday night meet up in melbourne and take cool photos .

I have been to America a few times and visited some of the other states in Australia mostly I just travel around Victoria, I steal the magic bus from my parents and then see how long it takes them to catch up with me again. yaaaaay you like peas and corn and rice... ok sunday twirling hmm for really good descriptions in the events forum look for melbourne sunday twirling..but ill give my description a go....if your coming from flinders st station you cross the bridge that goes over the river and then another small bridge that goes over a road (you should be roughly across the road from the arts centre now) if you keep walking along that path, in the park you will see 3 palm trees on a hill (well really its more of a mound) and a hammer throw statue dude. we are under the palm trees

now if i can just find my sanity i know i left it here somewhere.

Are you nuts? Can you cut your head with poi? Cos i have with a staff... hurt and bled for aggggggggggggges... loads of fun.
But then again, ive never injured myself with poi... nope, not even in the nuts
