ok well its confirmed.
IVe booked the date in, and so now we have a lovely big Hall with a Kitchen and toilet block, along with a big ass campign area and flat area to use for the weekend! sept 30, Oct 1, 2 and 3. Its in a beautiful location only 5 minutes from the closest Public Transport and Supermarket, or 25 minutes by car from the Adelaide GPO. We can arrange transport to and from the site from the Bus stop given a bit of notice.
We've also bought a big ass markee to use as a 2nd learning area if the workshops get too big to fit in the hall.
I was thinking we could also have a bit of a party on the saturday night if people were able to chip in for a PA...
so yeah - if you are interested in something or doing something else - say so!
and yes - there will be a large campfire, and a big fire spin.

Dates will be 29th, 30th of September and the 1st of October.
We still have a few MINOR issues to sort out. And we are working on them.
If things don't quite go to plan….. Josh and I can show anyone who is here the wonderful sights of Adelaide and we could probably even throw in a party for you as well.
We Adelaidians can be very entertaining…..

pete i dont understand is you workshop idea for us to stab you in the head with screwdrivers?! and gabe you had better come! (although it wold mean me being roped into helping lou with honey crackles) hmm... i will be taking poi workshops (apparently) any requests on stuff to run through? if so PM me so i can start getting an idea in my head of what people want to be doing... im thinking under the leg silly jigs and walks (my specialty) FLOWERS! (now with added antispin) erm inversions? (very poi nerdish) and anti spin weaves... hmm... 6bt splittime outwards longarm short arm thread the needle with a small isolation(note you need to be able to break your arm)

I am hoping to be able to make it to common ground this year (saving all me pennies and the like) but would like to know if there are any hotels that are nearby as camping is not an option for me.
I have machinery that I would need to bring with me that have no power source other than when I plug them in....(and no said machinery is not a hairdryer!

Medusa, the site that common ground is held at is only a 15 - 20 minute drive from adelaide cbd (adelaide's only little) there's plenty of hotels, motels, b&b's, backpacker hotels, and pub accomodation in the city to choose from.
Here's a couple of websites i found:

Last year the weather was pretty good. Ive been telling Fi was fantabulous fun it was. Then pouting as I most likely wont be there.
