Well hello there,
My name is Jo, I like to flow, sometimes I go quite slow, I live a life of joy, just me and my 2 poi, spinning circles in the air, and taking care not to burn my long hair!

seriously though, Dave, the right material is up to you. It's an individual choice. And why only have one loincloth? you could have a loincloth for every day of the week.
Here, take a look at these lovely loincloths.
here you see this chap has quite a low quality, leopard print velour type fabric. I don't know about you, but I'd want my man to need more material than that to cover his thang!

Contestant number 2 has gone for a more rustic feel, sporting a dead animal's fur, obviously he lives in a cold climate, and needs to keep his tinker warm!

and thirdly, number 3 has gone for a nice large square of brown felt and decorated it with beads, I think this is the cloth for your loin.
