Erm, cant play em. Downloaded the strugz doubles and the diablo vid and Quicktime says I dont have the right codec. Am using Quicktime 6.5.2. All I get is a white screen. Im able to watch the earlier vids on that site tho.

Let's turn those old bridges we crossed into ashes.

Yea its me, good night that. Sorry the vids arnt working im not entirely sure why not but it could have something to do with the new codec im using its the latest version of DivX and im still working out how to use it. the vids work on my machine when i view them online tho so maybe you need a newer version of DivX. If it still doesn't work i'll recompress the same way i did the other ones.

tried watching the vids at lunch and didn't work - mine or Norbi's diabolo. Tried a few others (from Brum) and none worked.

Apperently a compressor was needed or something...just tried em from my office 'puter and a 'page cannot be found' page arrives...

there were some problems with a few other vids that only worked when recompressed - I think you're going to have to do the same with these ones too Sandy hug2

Yup looks like it, im on the case. I keep trying new ways of compressing to get better results but im having a lot of problems. i recon this time its cos i acctually compressed them twice using different codecs. ill do them again and they should be up by the end of the day. Mo's in Somerset camping with his mate for a birthday should be home soon but you know what he's like probably lying on the grass pissed on cider or something.

tried dowloading again - i see youve redone them, but still not working.........

mmmmm, tried lots of codecs and tried a codec scanning bit of software at it didnt recognise confused are you using a mac to do them on?

If not have you tried using DrDivx?

Will leave it with ya, failing that you tried saving out as an avi? tiz a more commonly shared fileformat across codec versions.

K. It's done on DivX but has (somehow) been muddled by compressing twice I think. Sandy is re-doing them the same as the first ones this evening (again!) ubbrollsmile

Right ive got the strugz video working but the others arnt there yet. im using sorrenson 3 like the other ones so if you can play those you should be able to play this one. it takes a while to load cos its 20 meg and the bit rate is a bit low but its there. The others will be up soon but they take ages to compress and ive got uni work to do so im leaving them for tonight.

So i come back after 1/2hr of staffage................

i have insperation! So i decided to use explorer to download it through and it worked great - i used mozilla before and it didnt like it - still doesnt confused

Bah! but who cares now ubbrollsmile thanks sandy for sorting out, i know what a longwinded process compressing and uploading can be cool

After all that yesterday ive had to take a load of my videos off line for a few days cos im 2.5 gig over my monthly bandwidth. not a problem tho im moving servers to one that gives me unlimited bandwidth. should be back up soon.
