Most of us who glowstick just use regular shoe strings (54" or more--shorten accordingly) and glowsticks. Good luck and welcome to HOP

Always try to get the athletic shoelaces, other shoe laces will kill your hands. Once you get into a big amount of wraps and/or tangles you're going to want to cut off the hooks of the glowsticks because those will get in your way.

And Welcome to HOP.

I presume that by glowsticks you are meaning the once off ones you snap in the middle and they glow for one night? If you decide you like spinning, you're probably better off investing in some more permanent ones with LED, watch batteries and a switch. Their weight is better (heavier) they have proper straps and swivels to make life easier and not wreck yr hands with blisters. Lots of them have different or multi colours. Just look up Glow Poi on google and you'll find lots of makers/brands... including Home of Poi.... Have fun!
