Hi, I'm brand spanking new to HOP, never even new it existed until I stumbled upon it recently. Only just starting to get my sea legs as far as the technology thing goes. Just typed poi into a search engine and BAM, Here I am. And right glad I am too. Been spinning for years on and off, started in South Africa and the enthusiasm kinda waned once I got to the UK and refused to leave the warmth of indoors for months. Years later I am regaining my passion and learnig to accept that 26 degrees celcius is warm.
Think Hop is amazing, looking forward to learning and living and loving and growing.

Grrr, I just got told off for being over-friendly!!! What??!!
If anything I am a little distant at work. I don't talk much and I don't have alot of friends in my dept. When I talk it's work related, unless it's with the girl who shares my office with me because she's actually wicked, despite us haveing nothing in common.My friends all work on other floors.
I have been told many times that I need to loosen up by some of the boys at work ( I don't want to, not here, if they had any idea what I was like outside of work it would be a whole other storey, and I wouldn't get half as much work done!). Anyway, one of my male friends came down to my floor to see me, we had a bit of a chat and a giggle, still very reserved because we were aware that we are at work (I tend to get very loud and close to my friends).Then, a little later, another friend came down, same storey.
After he left I got a bit of a telling off! Because he patted me on the back, I patted him on the head and we were talking too close together, as with my other friend earlier, and they don't want me to make a habit out of it!! WHAT??!! SERIOUSLY??!! Then a collegue came up and accused me of being an outrageous flirt! THEY ARE BOTH MY FRIENDS! I tried to explain and she just said, " Oh come off it, I know you are single!" So because I am single and they are male I must want to jump them??? I love my friends. I have have no intentions with either of these men, they are my friends! If any of these obtuse potatoe heads saw half the amount of friendliness I show to people I love (Girls and Boys) I can only imagine what would start running through their minds!
Sorry for the rant, I just really wasn't expecting that.
Moral of the story: Don't show 'them' that you are in a good mood, it will unnerve them!

blu, babe, that's just wrong. I don't know if your school was the same but we had to have a ruler length between sexes at school.
Your work place sounds a lot like school. I'm lucky in that sense. People at work know that I'm off my rocker, so they generally don't have issues with anything I do. I've worn my hair in a triple mohawk coloured green and red to work and no-one said anything.
But what they're doing to you is wrong.
