testing 123, testing 123, is this thing on?

Hmmmmm, biggrin

Okay Hi everyone! My name is Breanna, and I am new to fire twirling. Been playing on and off for a couple of years, but just now starting to get serious. I belong to a team of performers that we recently put together. There are four of us.

I am also a mother, wife, student, and Priestess for a local Wiccan coven. Dragon Clan Circle is the name. I am also disabled with Lupus, so although I love to spin, sometimes I don't get to do as much as I like for financial reasons.

I would love to be closer to others to help teach us, but we spend every Saturday practicing, and we just learn from videos, sites, and each other.

Well that's about it for now. Thanks and Merry meet!

Breanna

Warm welcome Breanna wave hug

Sorry to hear about your the lupus. Incidentally, I was hearing about lupus the day before yesterday- a friend's relation has it.

Anyway, good to see it hasn't kept you away from a good twirl! smile

My lupus affects me in different ways really. Most its hard to walk without assistance some days, but it has begun to attack my liver. It can attack the other organs in my body, as Lupus causes your body to see your organs as infections and tries to fight them and kill them. For the most part I have a lot of pain and some days I can't twirl without hurting. But I have found being that close to fire and controlling it for the most part. smile gives me a certain sense of peace. I would rather go out doing something I love, than just lying in bed.

Its hard for us financially, for my husband has Congestive heart failure, so I'm not able to buy new poi and wicks all the time, so I don't get to spin like I would like to. Due to medications and these illnesses a lot of our money goes there.

I really love twirling. I wish I could learn a few more moves. its hard to learn on your own, but I'm getting there. LOL and so far haven't set myself on fire.

Thanks for such a warm welcome from everyone.
