okay, i've got a question. how come some people have little flowers next to their names in the "who's online" window? i cant recognise any sort of pattern for where these flowers are, so what's up with them? i did a search, without succuss, but mabey i just did a very bad search

It means the person has ICQ a web chat thingy...
If they are green it means their ICQ is activated and you can now talk to them on ICQ.

Heh, I have one of those flowers but it's always red, I don't have ICQ anymore, I hated it...

It's really bad. Every couple of minutes there's always some bot trying to add you, and people sending you messages who want to employ you...ugh, I finally got rid of mine purely for the spam reason

My mum recently had to change hers. Her change of address read sumthin like
"dear all,
I have had to change my address due to the numerous offers to extend a part of my anatomy i do not have..."

You only get spam if you leave your client setup to let random people message you. I've used the same icq number since about 1998, run practically every day, and I've had less than 100 pieces of spam in that time. Compare that to email....
