Only four days away smile

There will definitly be an origami workshop- we've bought loads of nice paper.

Workshop will cover some nice, easy basic models, then delve into some excellent modular models I've been learning recently- using many identical base models and building them into geometrical shapes like dohecahedrons.

Any one with experience in this, do bring along some models.

If there's enough interest we may get a group together to build giant models and decorations for the night time chill out space.

I've sent Tempest on a mission to acquire LEDs and, if he's successful we'll get a group together to make atmospheric LED-powered origami lamps.

-------------

Other than that there'll be LOADs of other workshops/skill sharing. Dave Proctor, one of the UKs best two-diabolists and currently close to a solid 'three-low' pattern will be there, and also performing in the show.

Looks like there'll be a large contingent from 'diabolo.ca' present, so, if you want to polish up on diabalo, shefcon is the place to be!

Just got back from this smile

First I want to say two things-

1. Though admittedly I'm a Sheffielder, I'm going to be totally objective here

2. I'm really not trying to make those of you who didn't come feel intense regret; rather I'm trying to save you from making the same mistake next year

Shefcon was amazing smile

I've been to several one-day conventions this year, all of which were superb; but Shefcon was by far the most enjoyable for me.

As well as excellent atmoshere, workshops, people, show etc, the two-day aspect really made it special.

With plenty of crash space in the hall, a lot of people stayed over and into the next day, with more workshops.

Despite the hall being booked till 4pm, things did not stop there- some genius booked the usual teapots juggling space where we all went to continue juggling/spinning till 9pm on Sunday.

I'm incredibly tired, but very happy smile

In all seriousness, make next years shefcon a priority in your diaries.

But you can make the Bastard work for it."
