So here I am again. It's been a while hasn't it. My alto sax initially got a lot of use. Funny isn't it, how a fulltime job takes away all your spare time. Haven't had any time to poi too, apart from Jugglejam on Mondays and the monthly Moonfests. And even then, it somehow seems I tend to play with the stockwhip instead of poi shrug

Another lens has been added to the stable too. A Canon EF-S 10-22 3.5-4.5.. nice and wiide. But it all boils back down to that time issue. Despite having the new lens, I seem to find I'm out taking less pictures.. the folio hasn't been updated in a while, and I'm starting to get the horrible feeling I'm stagnating. Must. Get out of this rut.

If you're my muse and reading this, inspiration needed now. hug

-Edited 14 Dec 2005-

I liken this to opening the fridge to find that jar of misc what's it, several months expired ubblol. Hey how's it going? wave

So what's new! Well.. poi's getting a bit better for one thing. Nice how after poi-ing for a while, you stop hitting yourself senseless. In fact, one might argue how after a certain point, each hit puts more sense into you.. wink Haven't gone skating or rockclimbing in a bit, but that's ok- life's full of wonderful distractions, and really, you can only do a couple at a time.

University's just wrapped up! Yep. A degree in art & visual culture, television & digital media.. Just waiting for a piece of paper at the moment (yay!). And trying to sort out how Australia will let me live here forever and ever biggrin. Have I mentioned how wonderful it is, you so ought to visit *nudge* wink Also been getting out the with photography and stuff- a couple of projects to follow up on, blue skies and puffy clouds as far as I can see.

Updates updates. [insert geek] I've updated my camera gear too.. my 20D, 17-85 4-5.6 IS and 580EX now have a 70-200 2.8L IS to play with.. soon too, riding on getting a particular gig, either a 350D and a 24-105 f4 IS, or another 20D.. -grin- [/end geek]

[edit 14/12/05: Gig didn't go through, and ended up performing at it instead of shooting it ubblol Life has a funny way of messing you about doesn't it.. so no 2nd body for me just yet, or nice 24-105 f4 IS redface]

Been taking lots of photos lately. I think there's something intrinsically beautiful in capturing moments- you know how you look at a photo and it brings you back to where you were that day, who you were with, how the air smelt even.. Maybe one day I'll get to exhibit ubblove.. but yeah.. lots of work to be done meantime.

Hmmmm.. yes the world's beautiful today. It's good to have new toys, new moves, new direction.. old friends hug.. a best friend hug2, and enough distractions not to get bored for too long.

Btw.. favourite words haven't changed.. ubbrollsmile And mm.. I'm still not too close to balletic, and dulcet..

Hmm.. la la la laaa squawk.. footinmouth

[edit 14/12/05: I now have a beautiful alto saxophone- the best use of which I have thus far found, is to attract ducks and other misc waterfowl]

Yep, how about we say still aspiring. biggrin

Hope all's well with everyone- don't be strangers now! hug biggrin

I've been exploring this site a bit lately, and have decided everyone seems like a nice bunch- thought it's about time I said hello. Ryan, 24, born in Singapore, but Brisbane Australia has been home to me for the past 3 years.

I love photography, playing the guitar (if one took a picture of me with my guitar, it looks like I'm playing it- does that count?), getting from point A to B on my trusty mountain bike, inline skating and hockey, occasionally rockclimbing, and just being in good company. I'd also like to add poiing to the list when I stop hitting myself senseless.

Irrelevantly, my two favourite words (I've got heaps if anyone's interested) are 'balletic' and 'dulcet'. 'Balletic', unfortunately, isn't a word I'd use to describe anything I can do, and 'dulcet' is a word I haven't dreamt of aspiring towards yet.

Enough for now, don't be strangers! biggrin

Hi all! wave Been a while (relatively) since I've posted in here- been trying to catch up with making posts in cg folks' threads, and it seems there are so many of you ubblol It was an absolutely wonderful weekend- not easy to think of anything which tops playing and hanging out in lush green grass under nice warm sun biggrin Not to mention sift through mountains of photos, as well as try to get back into uni mode frown!

Elke, Bonnie, Steph, Lou, Flynt- hug hug grouphug hug hug biggrin Thank you so much for being as wonderful as you are! (and thanks for visiting wink) Catch up soon, ya?

Courts: Heya!! Wish you could have gone to cg! You'd have loved it bounce It was pretty good- can you tell? hug wink Btw, did you win the monthly hop draw!??! eek (i.e. is your last name Ruge?)

April: You soo should have gone Miss- Puk rang yesterday from Blackwater, and it turns out he was trying to -give- away his plane ticket by the end of it but he couldn't reach you! (speaking of Puk, he says it gets kinda quiet up there and there's not much to get up to- gita & I were thinking of sending him a hop 'care package' to cheer him up.. maybe lots of mail and notes from people?) Anyway.. It really does feel like forever hey frown But. I'm likely to be seeing you at your place for the little get together wink Might not stay for too long seeing how I've been not very productive workwise this week/weekend. And the weekend's almost gone eek Should prolly get started on some now. See ya in a bit! hug hug

I've been good lately. Lots of stuff going on, some good, some.. well requiring lots of patience. Will drop you a longer note just as soon as I finish this pesky paper I've been putting off for ages.. I'll tell you something that might seem crazy too. Lou: Guess what! ubbangel It's a bit past 6 in the morning.. Sunlight's streaming in (I should so be awake at this time more often ubblove) and I'm.. yep. about to head off to uni ubblol Bringing my laptop in to work on my paper (stil a baby at around 300 words biggrin) and hopefully catch some of Today wink Took a bit of a nap and woke up at quarter to 5 this morning a bit disoriented.. day's looking very promising though. Gabe: Yup was sorta up to my neck in work and stuff. Would like to have gone though. I owe The Sheep a couple of drinks! Vegemite.. eugh.. I've been trying to figure out what it is that draw people to that throat-liner stripping breadspread and so far I'm close to clueless. Have figured out though, that it makes me put more butter/margarine on the toast to mask the taste. And I'm putting on like less than half the last digit of your pinky of vegemite on. Maybe I'll put some sugar on next time. ubblol

Josh: Heya! wave Don't worry about it- I've been really slow tackling the CG pics too. Still in holiday mode smile Was great to meet you too, and always happy to swop photo notes cool Glad you enjoyed the test drive wink Smiling? lol Maybe!
