So here I am again. It's been a while hasn't it. My alto sax initially got a lot of use. Funny isn't it, how a fulltime job takes away all your spare time. Haven't had any time to poi too, apart from Jugglejam on Mondays and the monthly Moonfests. And even then, it somehow seems I tend to play with the stockwhip instead of poi shrug

Another lens has been added to the stable too. A Canon EF-S 10-22 3.5-4.5.. nice and wiide. But it all boils back down to that time issue. Despite having the new lens, I seem to find I'm out taking less pictures.. the folio hasn't been updated in a while, and I'm starting to get the horrible feeling I'm stagnating. Must. Get out of this rut.

If you're my muse and reading this, inspiration needed now. hug

-Edited 14 Dec 2005-

I liken this to opening the fridge to find that jar of misc what's it, several months expired ubblol. Hey how's it going? wave

So what's new! Well.. poi's getting a bit better for one thing. Nice how after poi-ing for a while, you stop hitting yourself senseless. In fact, one might argue how after a certain point, each hit puts more sense into you.. wink Haven't gone skating or rockclimbing in a bit, but that's ok- life's full of wonderful distractions, and really, you can only do a couple at a time.

University's just wrapped up! Yep. A degree in art & visual culture, television & digital media.. Just waiting for a piece of paper at the moment (yay!). And trying to sort out how Australia will let me live here forever and ever biggrin. Have I mentioned how wonderful it is, you so ought to visit *nudge* wink Also been getting out the with photography and stuff- a couple of projects to follow up on, blue skies and puffy clouds as far as I can see.

Updates updates. [insert geek] I've updated my camera gear too.. my 20D, 17-85 4-5.6 IS and 580EX now have a 70-200 2.8L IS to play with.. soon too, riding on getting a particular gig, either a 350D and a 24-105 f4 IS, or another 20D.. -grin- [/end geek]

[edit 14/12/05: Gig didn't go through, and ended up performing at it instead of shooting it ubblol Life has a funny way of messing you about doesn't it.. so no 2nd body for me just yet, or nice 24-105 f4 IS redface]

Been taking lots of photos lately. I think there's something intrinsically beautiful in capturing moments- you know how you look at a photo and it brings you back to where you were that day, who you were with, how the air smelt even.. Maybe one day I'll get to exhibit ubblove.. but yeah.. lots of work to be done meantime.

Hmmmm.. yes the world's beautiful today. It's good to have new toys, new moves, new direction.. old friends hug.. a best friend hug2, and enough distractions not to get bored for too long.

Btw.. favourite words haven't changed.. ubbrollsmile And mm.. I'm still not too close to balletic, and dulcet..

Hmm.. la la la laaa squawk.. footinmouth

[edit 14/12/05: I now have a beautiful alto saxophone- the best use of which I have thus far found, is to attract ducks and other misc waterfowl]

Yep, how about we say still aspiring. biggrin

Hope all's well with everyone- don't be strangers now! hug biggrin

I've been exploring this site a bit lately, and have decided everyone seems like a nice bunch- thought it's about time I said hello. Ryan, 24, born in Singapore, but Brisbane Australia has been home to me for the past 3 years.

I love photography, playing the guitar (if one took a picture of me with my guitar, it looks like I'm playing it- does that count?), getting from point A to B on my trusty mountain bike, inline skating and hockey, occasionally rockclimbing, and just being in good company. I'd also like to add poiing to the list when I stop hitting myself senseless.

Irrelevantly, my two favourite words (I've got heaps if anyone's interested) are 'balletic' and 'dulcet'. 'Balletic', unfortunately, isn't a word I'd use to describe anything I can do, and 'dulcet' is a word I haven't dreamt of aspiring towards yet.

Enough for now, don't be strangers! biggrin

i got a pecan pie from the cheesecake factory. yummo. my sis is exactly 9 years and 3 weeks older than me. i'm the bubby of the family (and carry the scars to prove it!).

about puks statement. i'm guessing that the two sentences are either completely unrelated, or about the fact that he's cut down his cnsumption of mudcake enough so that his gut allows him to not only see, but also touch his toes. Am i on the right track? even a little?

Maybe it was " I like mudcake myself. I can touch my toes now." Sort of as a precursor to his next post-

"I like mudcake myself. I cannot touch my toes anymore."

Val: Thanks- you're a deer! heehe.. I'll save you (and every other mooselover this site has ever seen!) the hassle biggrin

How u doing?
:brings in a very very large bowl of choc jelly:
I like toes myself, I cannot touch mudcake any more...

B) it does not look as good on film

Ey Kyle!

Good good actually- bit tired because today's been a pretty long day, but good nonetheless. smile

I like my toes too, and I wouldn't sacrifice touching them for a mudcake. However. A juicy tiramisu fresh out of the fridge, I'd settle for someone else touching my toes biggrin Which come to think of it... ubbidea

Sorry, guys! i stayed the night at my sis's and only realised when i got home that i didn't nick some of it to have today, but i did get out of bed early to have some for breakfast before anyone could catch me at it!

If it had to be anything, it wouldn't be feet. I like shoulders. Hands are pretty interesting too rolleyes

2 weeks ago, I probably had a cow and the other half in my fridge smile Today, there's only two portions of leftovers frown!

On the bright side, about 2.5 cups of flour, a cup of cornflour, 6 eggs, a block of butter, 2 cups of sugar, 2 level tablespoons of baking soda, a pinch of salt, some ground nutmeg, some cinammon sugar, a bunch of bananas, a dash of bourbon, a hint of cassis liqueur and 1 and a half hours in the oven at 150c, just translated itself into a great banana cake that will provide me nourishment for the week. Or at least til tomorrow.. biggrin

yes, i agree with the appeal of shoulders. except when they have pimples on them, something about pimply shoulders that gives me shivers (not good shivers). do you know that in large amounts nutmeg is a hallucinagen? i read it somewhere, so it may be wrong.

Kinda like baked cheesecake but lime flavoured. Proper one uses Key limes, but they apparently only grow in Florida which makes that a bit awkward, but you can use persian limes (normal ones). It's very tasty! Recipe is here (but there are many variations):

I like to turn egg whites into meringue on top too.

No limes from The Keys don't taste different. It's just the first place that it was officially made.
