top o' the morning wales based poiple! this is the thread for all things wales based, although the crew is mostly based in the land of taff currently with a sizeable offshoot in the land of tawe, please talk about funky things all over cymru in this thread!!
so, for the uninitiated, here is an exciting list of regular poi activities for the wales based....
Cardiff/Caerdydd: 
Thursday nights, 8-10pm, come along to Ebenezer Church (Charles Street, around the back of Burger King and Next) for nofitstate circus' community juggling club, for poi and all sorts of other exciting juggle arts. It's just £2. Little Devil's Circus coming soon... contact pitman for further details or keep an eye on this thread on sunny evenings/days, Roath Park (Rec. or flower garden) you may well find a NOn spinning... it might also not be a NOn, or even a HoP person at all, but if you see someone there spinning, you may as well say hello...at other unspecified times, there may be other meets, check the most recent posts in this thread for specific details...
Juggling Shops Cardiff Games, Duke St Arcade: although not exclusively a juggling shop, they stock some poi, juggling balls and rings, plus occasional other sorts of toys... oh and the guy who owns it does poi too!
Route One Skate Shop, Morgan Arcade: Stocks variety of juggling equipment, including poi.

Swansea/Abertawe and surrounding area: Juggling Club, Thursdays 7-9pm In the Phoenix Centre, in the Townhill Area of Swansea. Costs £2 for the session! Circus Eruption is based in Swansea and they run a juggling club for young people, also frequently advertise in the Big Issue for volunteers to help out, but i don't know anything else about location or anything for that at the moment..... Right i need a rough date someone please lol!!! Also the 4 yurt camp sleeps 18 so we need 18 people i havnt got a price yet cuz the damn people wont answer there phone when i phone them!!! On there email they sent to me they unforunatly for them left there email history on there and they said "sounds intersting. Insurance beware" they sound like they want us there but it just looks like the insurance might come up due to the fire spinning.
Just bout to post this in the welsh border meet theard if i can find the damn thing.

if we are talking a few months time, PLEASE NOT MAY/JUNE!!!! i have exams then and really do not want other stuff worrying about and need to do lots of revision. any other time though. can i also say that i am definatly coming if it isnt in may/june:D
hospital coz huge crowd surge knocked me, my friend and 4 fully grown blokes down.. lucky me, i was at the bottom to break the fall for them all, and had about 55 stone standing on me. then no one would help me up. but it was a really good night

aww ({) well i have exams in june as well so i doubt june is a good time it also has southern lights and july has play in it and eastern haze, august there are rumours about a falmouth at some point so pick

just a catering assistants job, nothing special. pays about £5.60 PH which isn't too bad considering i'm 15 and don't really need the money to survive.

apart from the hospitalisation, sounds like you had a good time stacey, i would have said hello, but i actually didn't recognise you straight away, you were looking like a very well dressed emo!
as for yurts, hell yeah. maybe i said that already.... i'm thinking if not may or june, then either get it very quickly off the ground for easter, or wait until at least august. If my holiday plans pan out the way i want them to, then i won't be here in July. But best to check on the festy situation for then too... Pick some random weekends in August and chuck some dates out there for people to think about...Just see if you can find out for now
a/ if they will definately have - say 20-30 fire spinners
and
b/ if they are anyway fully booked during the summer - which the yurt may well be. And since it said on website only from blah until blah... maybe just ask 'em straight out which weekends it's still available?

hi fire censure, most of our meets happen in S.Wales. We don't really have regular meets, although you may find some HoPpers at each of the ones in the first thread. Otherwise, you could tell us when you'll be around, and we can arrange to meet you

i tried my hardest to dress 'appropriatly' for it, although since when has wearing a belt as a skirt in public been appropriate?? lol oh well, was one hell of a night!yurt in august would be alrite, although about 25th is GCSE results time, so possibly before then?
