Hey I'm Hannah and I bought my first set of day pois about 24 hours ago after seeing fire poi work at a bush party in Albany Auckland. I lack dexterity in my right hand, but have left dexterity, rhythm and keenness to learn to make up for that... I'm looking for people in the central Auckland area, especially Grey Lynn, to meet up with so I can watch how to use pois properly, and hopefully work my way up to using fire pois without hitting myself...
Send me a PM if you're in my area, I'd love to meet up and be shown how all this is done.
It seems like a really friendly place around here so far...

I too have a right hand dexterity deficiency, it just means a bit more effort, thats all, don't let it get you down!

Hey there Hannah - I spent most of last year in Ponsonby! But I'm back in Belfast now
There were fire gatherings every Tuesday night in Victoria Park last year... not sure if it's still going, but I think there's a thread in the events section bout Vicky park.

I have the opposite problem...my right hand is just fine..but the left is lazy and needs a smack from time to time...
have fun and keep trying and it will sort itself
