well...i'm in a little bit of shock. i had a job interview (over the phone!) yesterday with the department of child safety. AND THEY OFFERED ME A JOB!
it's a 3 month position doing...umm...intake i think. i can't remember!! 
the thing is though...it's in murgon - and for the 98% of you on here who have no idea where that is, it's near kingaroy. that's peanut town. and if that's no help, it's 3 HOURS from brisvegas!!
and it starts VERY soon! like - next week! i'm kinda freaking out about it! i don't know how i'll go being so far away from EVERYONE i know! man, i hope i'll have internet access!! otherwise, i may die. complete isolation and me do not mix well! i have to be around people! and especially people i like!
and the worst bit! i'll be there for christmas! and woodford!
luckily christmas is a saturday so hopefully i won't be working! and - don't worry rougie! i will get the 28th off even if it means i have to fake my own death! there is NO WAY i am missing woodford!! hey, i'll even have money to spend there!! woohoo!!yeah...so there's my news!!

good idea on the fire community thing gnor!i found out this arvo that i start my job on the 6th of december...thats monday week!!

it'd be awful! and my phone bill would be huge!! but if they have a phone line i have dialup!

well, i start on the 6th of december!!
i'm going up there on wednesday to have a look around & see where the heck i'll be working & living!!
then i'll come back to brisbane, see some friends on the weekend and then head back up on sunday!! maybe saturday...depends on plans & hangovers!! it's all happening...

so here i am in murgon! i've moved into the locum house & i started work last monday!
i've already been roped into fire twirling at the carers & kids christmas party on friday!!
the job was pretty crusiy the first week...and now the stress is starting to kick in!!
christmas just seems to bring out the worst in some people!! ah well, lucky i've managed to not stress outside of work hours...yet! that'll probably happen next week! ooh - i found out that i have lots of holidays too!! so i'll have plenty of time to catch up & laze around!! yay! and i'm going to woodford on the 28th and probably the 1st too!!
anyways, that's my first report from the sticks! hehe
