Posted: wow what a weekend!
it all started out with some fire friends sitting around wondering what to do. that eternal something that never seems to get filled with anything except some fun with a "tobacco waterpipe"
so we decided to go to the lame party that was being thrown in a skatepark. they always are lame here in northern nevada. when we got there the promoter was really excited that we wanted to spin fire at his party and let us do a show.
it went great, with the exception of having to keep the e-tards at bay. but thankfully the fire department had to make alot of people go outside since it was far beyond capacity, making for a huge crowd (200-300 people) watching us spin. I think by the end of our performance we had everyone outside of the skatepark.
ahh, the look on all their faces and all the things you hear from the crowd. it felt so wonderful to be THE fire performers. plus getting in free was a nice bonus.
then the next night we were scheduled to spin at a 5 acre party. we had stages just for us, we were on the flyer and everything. then the cops shut it down.
but they found another space to have the party at, and we still made it for some spinning. when we showed up the guy that greeted us was all like "are you the guys from last night? hey john, come quick, those fire guys are here!!!" got our VIP passes and everything. of course we didn't get to spin fire in the new space, but the party was really lame anyway.
well, just kinda had to talk about it to people that would understand. it seems after being around fire people for so long you forget how amazing it truly is. it made me think of the first time I saw fire spinning.
you can't have a war against terrorism because war IS terrorism.it's not about worshipping fire. its about making the fire want to worship you.

excellent story, and excellent job
closest thign ihave to that is glowsticing at school dances, and, the feeling is incredible just to have people be amazed by it and want you to do it, one of my favorite memories is a kid actually clearing a circle in the middle of the dance floor for me and a friend to spin in, its such a rush to have everyone cheering for you, im sure yours was much greater considering the enormity of the situation, but i think i know the basics of it...
