Hi
I'm new here so I make a short introduction here (how uncommon). I'm a Swedish fire spinner living in Stockholm. I haven't seen too many swedes here, maybe it's because we have our own very nice community (www.eldsjal.org, eld=fire sjal=soul).
I love to go to new places and while travelling in Thailand I ofcourse saw lots of Poi and got me a pair before going home. I have done Poi for almost hmmmm 15 month and I have even done some shows (with audiece!) but I'm far from being an expert.
This is a great website and I have learned lots before joining as a member, hope I can give something back. I don't know what else to write so drop me a line if there is something missing.
English isn't my first language (hardly even my second) so excuse any grammar faults.

I went to finland last and it was amazing your a lucky to live in such a lovely area and is fire spining in the snow funa and do you have any pictures if you have.... and sorry about my mistakes i am dyslexik so may as well be forren

Firespinning in the snow is pretty cool and it gives a lot of reflections and makes the fire seem even bigger. It's hard to do all your fancy trix wearing 10 layers of clothes thou.
I do like pink somewhat, pink fire would be cool
Anyone got any hints for making your girlfriend do fire poi? She can do lots using my practice poi but she refuse to do it with fire(well not it it , but it

Don't push her into the fire. When she's ready for it she suggest it herself.

er,... sorry, but I'm not meaning to be rude by saying this, but I find it rather ironic that "the Guru" should happen to have "newbie" member status!
hehehe...
as for the girlfriend, she'll be far more motivated if you just bring her along to meets and stuff and let her think it is her idea that she wanted to start learning! And don't worry - every woman I have dated for any reasonable length of time since I've been spinning has caught the fire bug without so much as a suggestion of trying it from me.

van: Agree, but I am a newbie to these forums and a guru at other things in life (like sipping on a latte and reading a book which I do really well!).
Gidg: I will take your advice on that but I don't think she will come around anytime soon no matter how good she gets
My next task is making my own fire ropes (snakes), I'll get the materials as soon as my discount kicks in at my local supplier.
