Hi My names Garthy and I'm addicted to Poi. I take them everywhere and don't want to stop.
Have been learning since Glasto 2003. Borrowed someones fire poi after lying to them. "Yeah I can spin" and then proceded to hit myself in the face. (for example) Decided I'd better learn by next glasto.
You may know me from such poi Meetups as Falmouth II , Special Clapham, BJC , and Bristol Fire. I've met many of you before and you've all been loverly.
(Although I spent most of the time lying down on the floor at special Clapham after a 2 day bender for my mates birthday so didn't meet many people then. )
But thank you to whoever gave me some pain killers. I owe you much.
You were indeed loverly. II love Psy-trance, Metal, POI, Computering, and proper clubbing. As all those I dragged to Tribe of Frog after the BJC will testify.
Will one day produce a spinning video with a Megadeth sound track!

Your coat has made it to work where I went to package it up yesterday and didn't have a big enough thingy to put it in. ! I can't afford anything at the moment so I'm trying to blag it through work post (So you'll probably have to sign for it) only 5 days till I get paied

i've had a metal revival this week as well!

I had a system of a down weekend too when I found three of their albums all together sorting out my pile of cd's! Toxicity is soooooo their best album!Garthy....thanks soooo much for posting me my coat

Hurah For Metal!
Deftones Rock!
It all started cause I set up a music server downstairs and decided to mp3 the rest of my music. Started listening to some of it and remembered why I love it so much!
Now have a machine serving up 80GiB of music to my house!
Will bring along some Metal for PIP! should have a metal spinning session! only a few days to go! Try headbangin with poi. (Although I'm a bit old to do this now and my head hurts after a few minutes! How I used to mosh for hours on end when I was yuong eludes me. and I don't even want to think about the damage i did by shaking my brain around for hours on end)

Strange, i seem to have my metal moments too sometimes - non too recently but i go through phases every now and then ...
.. all my old music is on MDs though and my MD player is fukced so i rarely get the opportunity to listen to the old stuff again .. *thinks: must fix it at some point*..Garth =
