Hiya... I thought I'd register and post a 'hello', although I'm not sure how much time I'll be spending here - I already have a lot of online time-sinks in my life, most particularly including the online game Kings of Chaos, which I'm the world #1 on - running my alliance for that takes up a lot of my free time.

When I manage to drag myself away from the keyboard, I juggle (I have some Aerotech balls, so I get lots of 'ooh' and 'aah' when I'm out at nightclubs even though I'm not very good smile ), do poi (of course!) and I also started trying devil stick lately. I'm not very good at any of them (they're listed in order of best to worst), but I have fun playing so that's good enough for me.

I run a website for the UK fetish scene, so mostly when I'm out clubbing it's at fetish clubs in London and around the UK. They're usually hard house dancefloors, with crowds that really appreciate shiny things - the Aerotechs fit right in smile

I'd like to figure out how to use the Aerotech balls as poi (I've seen it done, I'm guessing Persil wash-bags are the key to this?) as I think the poi that Aerotech make are too large and heavy for safe use on a dancefloor.

I moved to London a month ago (from Milton Keynes), so I'm still trying to settle in here... I'm hoping to start making it along to Spitalfields on a Tuesday night soon. I need to start practising poi more often - I got a friend into poi a few months ago ([Old link] on here) and now she's so much better than me that it's not even funny wink

I have a LiveJournal if anyone is that interested in finding out what I did lately, and a calendar if you want to try and figure out what I might be doing next.

I have a plain red, a plain blue, a red/blue, a blue/green, and a green/UV. I bought the first three myself in a moment of severe retail therapy, and then asked for the blue/green (and got the green/UV as an unexpected bonus) from my dad as a combined Xmas and birthday present a year or so later. I can't honestly say that I'm that happy with the green/UV - the UV is too dim compared to all the other colours. I'm not sure what colour combination to replace it with though (when money permits).

Yes, very probably. My avowed intention is to get to every main TG event from now on - this was one of my main reasons for moving to London this year smile

It's usually easiest to find me by looking for the Aerotech balls... I've not noticed anyone else there with them, except the guy who does the staff performances, and I've not seen him juggle (he uses his Aerotech balls in poi). Also I have the cheap glow-poi from Oddballs now, although I wasn't that impressed with them last time, and anyway it's hard to spin once the club gets underway - just too many people in too little space. I always feel guilty when some drunkard wanders into a fast-whirling poi, even if the things should be blatantly obvious given that they're brightly lit and flashing.

I will probably be wearing some baggy PVC shorts, and boots of some kind. Whatever I wear on my top half invariably ends up tied around my waist by about ten minutes into the evening. I look a bit like this and a bit like this, if you did want to keep an eye out for me / come and say 'hi' / serve legal papers / whatever. wink

NAG: Yeah, my alliance is scarily successful this Age. I'm currently trying to persuade them that we have to do something next Age to downgrade ourselves a bit, or else we're going to spoil the game for anyone who's not in our gang, which seems a bit crappy to me.
