Durbs you can do a really cool wibble whip catch from one of those under arm TTN throws. Throw the right one under the left, wibble it on the right arm and whipe catch it with the left. Lovely!! Well it is when it's landed but I'm still crap with the wibbles, seems to flow nice tho when it lands tho and looks pretty cool too!

Don't do a Ben with the video tho ok!

Great minds Bug, had that move, but a normal wibble, not an arm-wibble

and/or

Dibble the right poi, wibble the left and come out into forward TTN

Weather permitting, I shall be outside filming after work today.
But obviously won't be able to do them anymore so expect the video next month some time

i've posted about those overhead throws with handswaps on spherculism last night! i was showing you them with my doubles on thurs you cheeky sod... admitedly i only tried them with poi for the first time yesterday tho so maybe we just think along the same lines....

we'll in that case it was a subconcious influence cos i deffinatley stood in front of you, frodo, strugz etc. while spinning my doubles and saying 'look what i discovered at spitz this tues, it's a simple idea but it's quite nice...'

not that i give a toss anyway, jus thought it was funny that we posted the same move up within a few hours of each other! besides there's a good chance i'd been absent mindedly watching someone do it a few minutes b4 the idea popped into my head....

Just thought I'd throw this in: I've been doing throws for a while and one of my favorite variations that no one seems to do is throwing in to a stall. Pretty simple: Throw a poi, and grab the handle when the handle is above the poi (Handle at 12:00, poi at 6:00). Fun little things to do is snap your hand up a bit so the poi comes towards your hand, grab it and "throw" (not release) it in to spinning again. Or just kick it. Kicking is fun.

An example of using this to make it cool-ish (to me at least, i suck): Spinning butterfly, throw both poi one beat apart. Catch the first one in the opposite hand you threw it with. Catch the second one with the opposite hand you threw it with, while at the same time, throwing the first one again (at that time both poi should be in reverse butterfly direction). Stall-catch the first one as you throw the second one, then stall catch the second one. "yank" both poi directly upwards, catch them, and throw them in to a fountain or something interesting like that.

Fun stuff, play around, don't die. Fun with fire, because the effect is a fireball that was spinning but simply stops in midair. Tasty. Like babies.

Lots of fun - I do stall-catches quite a bit.

yup...ditto Stall catches are such good fun, go into Gilligan stuff then too and do the hyperloopy thing Durbs mentions, like in Black & Blue.

Mill, if you want a challenge try BTB stall catches or BTL for a bit of fun

Do you mean throw in to those, or catch in to those? I can throw BTB in to a stall, throw in front and catch BTB, throw/catch BTB (so much fun), throw BTL but not catch anything BTL with any consistancy. Too many variations, argh! I haven't spun poi in a month and a half, damn surgery

could someone point me to a definition of 'wibble'? I'm guessing from the usage it's a new name for a move family, but I can't find through this site's search which family you're talking about... I haven't been on this site much for the last for the last few months, so I was bound to miss stuff.. I must say: watching soy and spinach together is very nutritious.

it's baisiccalaly a tapback using your hand or arm to reverse the direction of the poi from a throw by tapping the handle area. comes from devilstickery and can be repeated as many times as you can.... not many in my case!
