Greetings, salutations and big up junglist massive,

Having owned a practise staff for several months, I've finally decided to put some proper effort into staff spinning (hence my current collection of fairly impressive bruises in various fetching shades) so I thought I'd register here and see what tips I can pick up.

I like the more "martial artsy" style of staff, but I totally suck at it at the moment! I'd really like to learn twin staff but last time I tried, well, lets just say my eyes have only just stopped watering.

Well, vital stats about me:

HABITAT: Cardiff
INTERESTS: bass/guitar, programming, Flash, staff, martial arts, fitness, sleeping, beatboxing, hack challenges
FINISHING MOVE: Thoughtful Monkey Exuberance Flip Splash
FAITH: Christian
HERO: Mike Patton
LIKES: dirty bass sounds, staff spinning, kung fu movies with no plot, hip hop, grindcore
DISLIKES: chavs, kung fu movies with plots
AMBITIONS: to buy Zane Lowe a beer, to rinse Flea at Tekken 4, to be able to use two staffs without it turning into, erm, "painful billiards"
FAVOURITE ANIMAL: da kitty!
FEARS: pirates, smiling ladies, pirate ships crewed by smiling ladies
AKA: BeatMuppet, "that bearded fool"
SENSE OF HUMOUR: none

Does anyone know any good sites that give tutorials for staff stuff? I've been through the ones on this site and I'm sure that once I'm over the concussion I'll have those techniques locked down and am hungry for more!

I've rambled enough, people at the back are starting to chuck paper aeroplanes about. So, erm, hi! biggrin

Dude, what are you doing on here you weirdo?

If you're not the GavD i'm thinking of then i apologise for calling you Weird, but seeing as there cant be more than one person in cardiff/the world that matches that description then i'll assume you are actually gavin. If you want to learn double staff dude you should come to my house and i can show you what i learned at Falmouth. biggrin

That'll be Ben-ja-men that was the awesome staff dude at Ross's house. He really is quite unique! Shame you couldn't have been there when we were cuz you could have had a spin with us! Ross is getting good at doubles now to, he can do the butterfly weave thing with them and it even looks good! biggrin

I was always scared with my mother's obsession with the good scissors. It made me wonder if there were evil scissors lurking in the house somewhere.

Do not meddle in the affairs of dragons for you are crunchy and good with ketchup.
