Konbanwa, poi-jin!... thought I'd introduce myself since I've filched so many ideas off these forums
So... I'm 17, my real name is Andrew, but everyone calls me either Alex, Drew, sticks, or death of rats (roughly in that order). Make of this what you will... anyway, I've been spinning poi for around eight or nine months now (though through training in the filipino martial arts I've been able to do forward reverse and behind the back 3 beat weave for a little over two years), and I've started playing around with fire staff. Beside whacking things burning things and spinning things, I spend most of my time hang-gliding, drawing, and messing around with languages. Such is the busy life of the Freelance Bum...

Thanks! Yeah, freelance bum is a very noble profession... Yeah, I like pink...in moderation. The moderation part is very important, though

It's OK Pink. Some people just don't understand the real importance of the color pink. Just count Stiks as one of them.

My guro is Guro Cindy Jones, who's Guro is Guro Kevin Seaman, who's Guro is none other than Dan Inosanto. How long have you been studying fma? And...wow that's one badass tongue, pounce. Almost qualifies as an edged weapon -No future in it-
I've been training martial arts for most of my life. FMA since before '86. We both have a lineage thru to Guro Dan.
I know who Guro Kevin is but have yet to meet him.

Cool! In these parts it's rare for me to meet anyone who's even heard of filipino martial arts ("Huh? Is that like a karate? I thought they all came from Japan" etc...). It is an honour to 'meet' you, sah'b *bows*. And I actually do like pink, it just doesn't suit me even more spectacularly than other colours don't suit me
