I'm trying to make a new avatar but i keep coming with a jpg file with 50.000 or 60.000 bytes. Even when the original picture was only 8 kb. What am i doing wrong here? Saving under a low resolution isn't effective enough either.

I'll try the gif bit later this week. I'm out of time right now. Thnx for the tip mech. Don't think the transparant areas will work though.
I'd like to do it myself if possible TuTuMan. Can you tell me what to do first? I can always send it if it doesn't work.
