Posted: Quick question folks. I have found that my staff seems to be soaking up fuel inside the tube. I jus noticed the other day how heavy it was getting (I took off the wick and a whole load came pouring out...). Was just wondering if any one else had this problem with a Concentrate staff. I could just drill a hole somewhere in it but I dont want to compromise the integrity of such a light staff.
Any ideas?
Just another quick one, How do you folks travel with you staffs with out carrying the fuelly smell too. Any recomandations on containers, wraps etc. Dont wanna stink up the car....
Cheers Folk

Posted: concentrate make many staves - i presume you speek of the innercore staff. The revised staff has silicon seals, and shouldn't leak seeing as air pressure is how they lock together. How long are you dipping your wicks into the fuel? i dip for all of 1 second per wick, and I's happy with the fire. I hope this yelps.

Bender I saw on your site that you have the innercores (I've also read you wax extatic about them a few times...) have you done any custom work on them?
It is indeed an red innercore staff. heres the thing, the problem is not leaking but the exact opposite. After I noticed my staff was getting heavier and heavier, I began to hear (and feel) a sloshing inside the wick end. I'm guessing that end is somehow sealded because no fuel came out when I broke the staff down. I had to remove the wicks on order to drain the fuel from the screw holes. Already its gaining weight again, which is a shame because I truly love the balance it had when it arrived.
Its a strange one for sure. (I want to buy two shorter ones for for doubles but i'm not sure yet...)
