I am Maya...I live in Massachusetts and I just picked up a set of practice poi at an event i went to this weekend... they are fun! and addicting! I am looking for a teacher in massachusetts (i live in the central part of the state)....
I am intrested in learning poi and staff

well...I am a dirt worshipping tree-hugger (i.e. Pagan)...lol...
I have been married for 7 years and have 2 kids.. ages 4 and 1/2 and 16 months...
I also study Tang Soo Do which is a korean style of martial arts
and I am a tattoo fan.. I have 3 of them currently and plan on getting a bunch more...
I am also in the SCA (society of Creative Anachronisms)... and i spin my own yarn and weave...
I think thats pretty much it
i really hope i find some people in massachusetts that like to spin

sounds like something you'd do with poi.... i make clothes but haven't woven any fabric since i left college. would love to have my own loom though....

Where in Mass are you from? I am originally from "Ware, MA" and recently saw a twirler on a trip to Mexico and now I am soooo excited to try it .... Any advise on what I would need to begin??

Your a stay at home mum, cool!! Wish i could stay at home all day!! Get your kids on to it too, the sooner the better. kids pick things up so quick. Before you no it you'll have 2 little jedi spinners on the go. How cool would that be.
