At some point I should turn this first post into a proper introduction of me but heck, you guys already know me. I initially wanted to have this just be the details on my pending trip to Scotland... which turned out quite lovely... smile

Feel free to post what ya' like... Here's the rest of my original post.

[I didn't quite feel right about posting this in Events and Gatherings since it will almost certainly degrade into conversations, insults, and probably me posting things like "Bluecat, where were you?! I waited for three hours?!?!" Also, it's a little cocky to represent myself as an Event.]

YES!!! It's TRUE all you beautiful people! I'll be in the UK this summer for TWO MONTHS! Start boiling the tea! Prepare your arms for BIG HUGS! Practice saying "I can't believe this guy has been spinning poi for three years and he still sucks that badly" in less offensive ways! (You guys didn't do so good last year.) And BY GOD hide all of the beautiful women!!! heart...

Can I say "hi" to NYC here? Or is this only for chatting up folks in the UK and stuff?

By the way, Ms. Molly, I am here to meet you, too. Apparently, we will be meeting in person in not too long ....

Yeah, I'll show you the scar next time I see you. I'm not sure why. It's tough not to say since I pretty much call everyone "Mr." and "Ms." all day long.

Oh, and Molly, that's RBM's Doggie. His name is Jake and he's the sweetest animal in the world.

Oh, and RBM, that's Molly's mole 'Molly'. We're going to make her a staff since Bluecat can't seem to get his act together to do so. She does poi too but it's hard on the fingers.

And RBM, I definitely need a hoop the next time we make a bunch. One for Molly and one for Me. Preferably not matching so we don't argue. wink

Well, shall we go?
Yes, let's go.

That is because you spend all day talking to Amercirans.

Molly mole needs little sleeves too to stop her elbow going any more bald if she's going to play stick with the big kids (she'd like to pretend it's for doing wraps though, to save embarassment)
oh, and she would like a pink staff so she can pretend that it's a worm with rigor mortis

Hello Jake, you have very beautiful ears.

ooh - are you allergic? that sucks. but at least jake is short-haired, so some people with allergies can actually get along with the little dude.

NYC - jake thanks you for your kind words.

You want a hoop, too???? YAYAYAY!!! I'm so proud! Of course, I'm struggling, trying to come up with a design that will collapse enough to be able to go on an airplane. If all else fails, I could just teach Molly how to make them, and she can bring the hoop revolution to the UK.

definitely up for making hoops over here and making others wiggle
I wonder if I could convince mcp that she had hips?

but don't worry about planes
I'll be leaving sticks in New York anyway
I'm going to be a busy girl biggrin

I'm not allergic to all dogs. Which is just as well since I live with a lovely, if daft, tripod mutt.

I found this and it made me think of Molly...

"Ms."- A Blend of Miss, and Mrs..

Usage Note: Many of us think of Ms. or Ms as a fairly recent invention of the women's movement, but in fact the term was first suggested as a convenience to writers of business letters by such publications as the Bulletin of the American Business Writing Association (1951) and The Simplified Letter, issued by the National Office Management Association (1952). Ms. is now widely used in both professional and social contexts. As a courtesy title Ms. serves exactly the same function that Mr. does for men, and like Mr. it may be used with a last name alone or with a full name. Furthermore, Ms. is correct regardless of a woman's marital status, thus relegating that information to the realm of private life, where many feel it belongs anyway. Some women prefer Miss or Mrs., however, and courtesy requires that their wishes be respected.

Respecting your wishes as courtesy requires Miss Molly. biggrin

Well, shall we go?
Yes, let's go.
